Rowlf reminds me of some of the scary monsters in The Shining.

Fine piano player. He is one of the greatest in both The Muppet Show and Muppets Tonight when it comes to playing instruments. Whenever there is a problem, he makes one better with a song. I do adore him in Muppet Babies too, but since the great Henson is gone and someone else is giving him a voice, he's not the same. To me, he's still great however.

I really like Rowlf, he's definitely one of my favorite Muppets. He's adorable, funny and musical - what more can you ask?

He was great as Dr. Bob on Veterenarian's Hospital. Cool, wisecracking, and great at playing the piano.

Rowlf, as the oldest Muppet, is by FAR the best! I miss him. (after Jim Henson's death, he remians voiceless since he really was Jim's favorite.) Rowlf has a class and intelligence that most of the other Muppets don't quite have. He Is The Best! Anyone who says otherwise just doesn't really understand what the Muppets are about and is way too shallow.

As a dog lover and a music lover, how could I not like this character. His charm and wit could never be overlooked. I liked how he always turned a situation into a song.

He looks fun, but there was always something about Rowlf that put me on guard. I got the feeling that (hypothetically, of course) after the show, the whole Muppet gang went out for a beer and Rowlf stayed in his dressing room, alone... all night long. In the dark.

Rowlf is cool, and I like piano players. It seems like Rowlf always gets the shaft compared to Fozzie. I'd like to Rowlf and Fozzie get into a fight and have Rowlf win.

Ive always thought Rowlf was sweet myself. He just seemed to have that "mellow sweetness" to him. Atleast I always thought so. :)

First of all, Rowlf is a dog - which means I would naturally like him to begin with. But it goes much deeper because this guy goes way back into my early childhood giving him an added personal dimension that many of the later Muppets did not have for me. The first time I saw him was as a short segment feature on the "Jimmy Dean Show" sometime in the early/mid 60's. I also vaguely remember a dog food commercial of the time featuring him. His personality was silly, wise cracking and kind of "dody doh" sweet - not unlike a later Muppet named Alf. Like Kermit and a few others, he shared a voice with creator Jim Henson. It's funny, after all these years, Rowlf still seems so familiar and dear to me seeing him is like looking at one of my old and treasured stuffed animals.

It's the punniest Muppet around, good 'ole Rowlf! Far from lame, there's just something adorable about the oldest Muppet around! Or is he still around? Haven't seen him in a while, but he should be used more often, since he's so great and funny. Keep singing, Rowlf!
