I'm rating on the "danger" factor, which I perceive to be far less than some imagine it to be. With most any animal, it depends solely on its upbringing. I do not believe rotts' are naturally agressive or dangerous and will not treat them as such. If the dog is brought up in a loving home from an early age, he/she will tend to stay family friendly for the most part.

Rotties are awesome. I have a 2 y/o male and he's a great, active fun loving dog. They are intellegent, versatile and very trainable. It's a shame they have so much bad publicity. The bad publicity only make things worse too, because people who want a feirce and mean dog will go out and get them even more.
