Sometimes misses the mark, but his best reviews are priceless. One of the few RIA conservatives (together with Eschew and Lance) who can write and have actual ideas-not just 'irritable mental gestures resembling ideas' (Lionel Trilling).  Sadly, Flick has been MIA for almost a year now; hope he returns soon.

A reviewer who often has a lot of very, very different opinions about society, politics, and things of that nature than I do, but that's not important, what is important: a top notch writer with good humor and his conviction and enthusiasm for whatever he's talking about is readily apparent- certainly one of those reviewers you wish would write more. I'm hardly a conservative, but I'll say that he's one of the best conservative commentators here. Way, way up the list when it comes to music reviews, a truly excellent review he made on the whole Eddie Van Halen vs Hendrix thing was as far as I'm concerned- for me- almost the final word on the matter. Yeah, there can never be a final word, but it was one of the very best posts on music I've seen here.

Gotta drop the five. From Benny Hoo Ha to why the asshole is in charge, this reviewer has brought me to the brink of pissing myself a few times. The mutant baby user pic also gets high marks.

Flick01 has a great sense of humor and some really funny stories, always good reading.

UPDATE: Common you people, all the unhelpfuls I'm getting almost tells me it is a crime to like Flick01. Well if that's a crime, I'm guilty as charged! I really don't get you people sometimes. Oh, it's only a crime if I like him judging by all the helpfuls you give others on this list who like him lol. ORIGINAL - He is intelligent and is a nice person. There is a lot of thought in his comments and some of the things he writes, you would have to be a genius to come up with them. I like the fact he is a fellow brother in Christ.

I needed to check him out since I have seen few of his comments. I did read the glowing reviews. After I read his comments in his people you admire site, I agree. Many of the comments are toucing and well done, and for that he gets a 5.

UPDATE: I just have to add, Flick missed his calling. I have split my sides so many times reading his comments. He's killing me. He is also a first class reviewer on more serious topics as well. He writes some good stuff, but man, I read his comments and its like a blog got spilled over into RIA...he could write an entire novel in just one weblist rating ITEM!

For better or worse, his insightful commentary essentially inspired me to give this website a second try...I particularly appreciate his wisdom and independence of thought...and oh yeah, we've got the same taste in classic films!

Flick01 is very intelligent and very calculating (or at least it seems so). Although sometimes unintentionally, flick has almost constantly moved me to question my own thoughts about many subjects and begin to see flaws in my own reasoning. I often post too hastily and neglect good reasoning when it is most necessary, but knowing that people like him are out there that don't do this makes me more vigilant. I guess you could say that flick01 keeps me on my toes, and, for that, I am thankful. He is among the few reviewers that are always worth reading.

Flick is an excellent reviewer. This guy can WRITE! Yes, he seems to take time to think a subject through before commenting on it and that is something I need to do more often. I enjoy reading he is comments immensely!

Flick seems like a guy who does a lot of research before putting finger to keyboard. He also seems to have a great historical perspective. Excellent writing and communication skills erudite would be a good way to describe him. I very much enjoy reading his comments. Tends to remind me of the classic old-style gentleman.

One of the most nicest and diplomatic conservative on this site. Flick handles his arguments with care and a deep consideration for anyone he disagrees with always backing his arguments with logic and a clear justification. He couldn't insult someone if he tried as hes simply too nice a natured man to do it. I may not agree with a lot of his views, but he likes The Beatles so thats a huge plus in my books.

Flick01 is a genuis.

Excellent writer, and a pretty decent guy to talk to. Obviously a great thinker. His posts are stuffed with information, almost as full as VirileVagabond's. I may not agree with everything he writes, but he presents his arguments clearly and thoroughly.

I've really enjoyed reading through his comments lately - especially enjoyed his recent comment on the sky high prices of oil. One of my new favorite contributors to RIA!

Judging from the few of his comments that I read, Flick01 comments always seem to be relevant and he tells it like it is. I like that. He, unlike, others here, also stops to think about how others may feel (unlike myself).

Flick is obviously a very good reviewer. He seems to be fair in all of his reviews and comments and is an excellent writer. I always enjoy reading his comments. A 5-star reviewer all around !

Flick01 is a very clear thinker. There's nothing shallow about his statements. I don't always agree with him (for instance, I am no fan of Playboy, Yoko Ono, or John Lennon - though I like the other 3 Beatles very much). But a person doesn't have to agree with me to be thoughtful or smart. Keep up the good work. I'll look forward to seeing more of your comments.
