When you eventually grow accustomed to it after the leap from just using arithmetic, algebra is one of the most useful and, if I dare say so, one of the most fun things to do in maths. There are no awkward diagrams to draw, and everything is relatively straightforward, and it looks quite flashy...

Unlike a lot of the reviewers of this subject, I find algebra to be one of the most useful subjects in everyday life. I use it just about everyday, and it always confounds me when I run into someone who graduated from high school who can't do simple algebra (and I run into a lot of them when I teach).

I struggled with the subject through high school and college- but finally, at the university level, algebra made more sense and I learned to appreciate it. . .no kids, you don't have much practical applications of Algebra in your daily life- but it teaches logistical planning and following instructions. . .underrated and undervalued. . .

Most people that take algebra never have to use it a day in their life. As long as you know your basics, you should be okay.

Algebra was a nightnare for me. In my opinion letters and numbers just should not be mixed. Kind of like drugs and alcohol.

I liked algebra. It was easy to learn and is useful throughout the rest of your life.

Never could get the hang of algebraic equations. I can't really remember anything at all about algebra (other than the fact that I didn't do well at all in it - barely passed). Doesn't seem to have much of an impact on my life.

I am where I am today in spite of Algebra. Hated all those variables.
