Enterprise is a wonderful show! The chemistry among the actors is outstanding. Trip (Connor Trinneer) is fascinating, funny, complex, interesting, flawed, strong, and plenty easy on the eyes. His friendship with Malcolm is one of the greats of Trek -- these are two people who balance each other very well. Phlox (John Billingsley) is a riot. Exploring the origins of Starfleet and the Federation, the relationship between the Vulcans and the Andorians, the struggle of Terrans to find their way in the universe without doing too much harm -- it's great stuff. And the new arc promises a lot of crackling drama as Trip tries to find his way back to humanity from his grief and rage, and Archer tries not to go over the edge into insanity in his quest for revenge. Watch Enterprise Wednesdays!

Much better direction in the third season so far. I enjoy the characters on this series far more than I did the noble, nearly perfect, and very boring characters of TNG and the somewhat nonexistent characters of VOY. A character can only be so upstanding before he/she loses all spark. Kirk, Spock, and McCoy strove for the ideal society as well but they were far more flawed. ENT reminds me more of DS9, which bodes well. This is a prequel, so Roddenberry's future doesn't look as bright. EXCELLENT. Isn't that the way it should be? Kudos to the wonderful Connor Trinneer, Dom Keating, and John Billingsley. Scott Bakula seems to be growing into his part and I am enjoying a much grittier, less "nice" Captain Archer this season. Bravo Scott. However, my only complaint is the writing. It's too spotty. They produce some excellent episodes but can't seem to string enough of them together. Stick with the arcs, boys, and for the love of Pete can the other writers *please* lock Rick and Brannon in the mens room when it comes time to write? You have some wonderful characters portrayed by some pretty darn good actors who have turned lemon laced scripts into lemonade, Trinneer particularly so. Your actors shouldn't have to bail you out on your scripts. No more Precious Cargo, A Night in Sickbay, or Bounty's.....*please*! More Future Tense, Anomaly, The Xindi, Stigma, First Flights, and Cease Fires please. Remember that Captain Archer and Trip are friends/surrogate brothers, and that Trip and Malcolm are Bashir and O'Brien revisited. Trip and Malcolm are heartwarming. Their friendship is outstanding. It's my favorite relationship on the program.

I think the new Enterprise is fantastic! I love the grittier, more determined Archer and the crew are always great. The new MACOs also give it a bigger sense of immediacy. Scott Bakula as Archer is very compelling. I've been watching for the first 2 years but this year has me rivetted to my chair.

to all you trekies out there (myself being a classic one) admit this flaw! it is bad and should be put behind us all... please, admit the mistake!

I love it! Haven't been this hooked on a TV show since, well, since watching the original Star Trek series in reruns 30+ years ago. I'm really looking forward to the new story arc this season. It will make for great story-telling and lots of drama. The best thing of all about the show is Scott Bakula as Captain Archer!

Enterprise seems to be moving away from the bright and hopeful future that has always been a founding point of Star Trek. However, I am a steadfast fan, and will follow the lives of Captain Archer and company to see how they resolve the issue and move back into the formula that has always attracted me to Trek from the beginning.

I think "Enterprise" is the best of the Star Trek shows. The cast is the best yet and it looks good. As in all shows the writing could be better, but I have liked all the episodes, so far. I do hope that the loving, caring attitude will continue between the characters as they go in this new direction. It helps make the show the special thing that it is. Thank you.

A great idea that after a tremendous start faltered a little but has now found its way. Getting better with episode and being in the UK I'm looking foward to seeing Series 3. The excitement is tangible! Great acting from all concerned when the scripts allow. Jolene Blalock as T'Pol is excellent and at last we have dishy captain on the bridge.

Enterprise is getting better with each episode.I highly recommend it to all who enjoy good acting and character development. Bakula at the helm was a superb idea and this year looks to be action packed. Can't wait for each new episode wednesaday nite at 8pm to see what is going to happen. Yeah Archer- go kick Xindi butt!!!!!

This is one FANTASTIC tv show. Its virtually the only thing I watch on tv these days. The character are excellently written and very well played by the actors.

Enterprise is my favorite show and I enjoy the friendships with the characters. Hoshi/Archer, TRIP/T'Pol/Archer, Reed/T'Pol, and other relationships. I used to watch the original ST, and tried the others, but something was missing. This ENT is great, I like Archer. He makes mistakes, passionate about meeting new species, isn't threathened by the bad aliens, is there for his crew and the hottest captain ever. Scott Bakula was destined to be the Captain. And I am happy to say that I love this crew and could relate to a few of them - Hoshi esp in the first season. I also hope that the relationship between Archer/T'Pol/Trip becomes a close friensdhip, not love relationship. Now only if our Captain Archer could have some love lust or flirting...Long Live ENTERPRISE. Ciao, Teresa

One of the most fun shows on TV, for anyone who ever watched classic STAR TREK (or anyone who had to LIVE with those who do), this prequel series is a lot of fun... showing how our nasty little world of today becomes the technicolor Galactic society of Kirk's time.
jolea 09/17/2003
This is the first Trek series since TNG that has completely captivated my attention. I rearrange my schedule to ensure that I am at home when it comes on. The cast that Berman and Braga put together is absolutely awesome; they have an energy that makes the show work. If you haven't watched it yet, I have to recommend you give it a try!

If you haven't watched Enterprise since the first or second season, you're missing a FANTASTIC shift in direction! New aliens threaten Earth, the Temporal Cold War is back, and the crew finally have a defined mission--to prevent further destruction on Earth. Archer is a darker, tougher captain, Trip wants revenge for a personal loss, and T'Pol no longer answers to the Vulcan High Command. All the actors have matured in their roles, and the new story arc should provide great drama. GIVE THE SHOW ANOTHER LOOK--YOU WON'T BE SORRY!
rokko 09/17/2003
I am fairly new to Star Trek and thought I would give this show a try, but I cannot even sit through an entire episode. It is very boring. I wonder if the people praising the show aren't just women who lust after Scott Bakula and want him on the air no matter what he is in. I know he would be much better on a different show.
Carole2003 09/17/2003
This is a brilliant show, long may it continue

I've enjoyed all of the Star Trek incarnations, but Enterprise is by far my favorite. I feel closer to this crew than I have to any of the others, probably because they are so fallible. This is not a sanitary, idealized earth or federation or Starfleet. Much is unknown and mistakes are made. But Jonathan Archer is the most human of starship captains--he's not cool and untouchable, he's a man of strong convictions and a moral compass that might waver sometimes, but mainly keeps him trying to do the right thing. As for the rest of the crew, Dominic Keating's Malcolm Reed is a masterful characterization. He's built a complex and fascinating character around what could have been a stock character. His interactions with Trip and the Captain are finely nuanced and a joy to watch. I'm looking forward to seeing his interactions with the MACO's this coming season. As for the new mission, new season-- bring it on! The characters are growing and changing, which is just as I would expect from them. This is my one hour of not-to-miss TV programming.

Love the start of Season 3. I found that the Xindi are very reminiscent of the United Nations-no one can agree. The Xindi Insect and Aquatic species are very detailed and, for CG, very distinct personalities. I particularly like how Trip Tucker has changed from good ole' boy to revenge-minded man. Can't wait to see how the rest of the season plays out.
Deks Roning 09/17/2003
Well, what can I say... I like to watch Enterprise cause I enjoy the show itself and I don't pay attention to some inconsistencies that tend to bother some other people... I reccomend to non-trekkies to watch the show aswell and enjoy it for what it is...

Enterprise is great, i have enjoyed it since episode number one. I even stay up till 2am just to watch it.
Tallchief 09/17/2003
Have watched every episode since the excellent series premiere, "Broken Bow." This is the first time a Star Trek series has captured my affection, attention and imagination since The Original Series. Scott Bakula is perfect as the Captain of the first human voyage into deep space. His Captain Archer is bold, courageous and strong, yet compassionate and kind. The entire cast is talented, engaging and have a palpable rapport and onscreen chemistry between them. These characters are wholly human, personable and, yes, imperfect. You find yourself caring deeply about them and the success of their mission. The premise of an inexperienced Captain and crew learning how to become part of an often hostile interstellar community makes this scifi series so much more accessible yet holds great promise for so many story telling possibilites. Beginning with this third season, the stakes have been raised for this ship and her crew. No less than the survival of Earth depends on the success of their mission. The obvious parallels between this new story arc and events happening on the world stage now are truly worthy of the cultural issues that were explored by TOS in the sixties. Star Trek Enterprise is a wonderfully entertaining, superbly acted and beautifully produced drama.

One of the few shows I arrange my schedule around. I enjoy all the characters and their various reactions to the adventures encountered during the "new" human exploration of the universe.
pashworth 09/17/2003
Greatly improved in Season 2, the series is launching a story arc format in season 3. Or you could watch it just to see Scott Bakula.. :-)

Great show, lots of action..fantastic looking men...yow that Dominic Keating (Malcolm Reed) rocks my world!!

Great concept. Best Star Trek cast ever. Love to watch them push the envelope. Live long and prosper!
Hreod 09/16/2003
I think Enterprise is the best Trek series ever. I love the realistic nature of the show. These are people making Earth's first steps into space. They're not afraid to make mistakes, not like the squeaky clean characters of TNG et al. I can't understand the naysayers who just want every Trek series to be TNG regurgitated. Enterprise is fresh and innovative. The theme tune's lyrics exactly express the exploratory nature of he show and the journey Humanity has taken to get this far. All the main characters are good. Scott Bakula makes a perfect captain - developing from his uncertain first steps into a strong commaning officer. My favourite is Malcolm Reed and I love the way that Dominic Keating has brought him alive and made him a real, multi-dimentional person. Long may Enerprise continue.

As a loyal Star Trek fan, I will always watch new Enterprise Episodes. Yet I find that Enterprise falls somewhat flat. It has no pizzaz or energy, except for Trip and Dr. Phlox's spunky attitudes. Captain Archer needs to start doing something. He is not very authoritative or compassionate like Captain Janeway and has very little opportunity to take action. The majority of the plots involve little or no real adventure. (With the exception of a few). There doesn't seem to be an element of danger like there was in Voyager what with all of the new species. Enterprise also has an ungodly number of continuity errors which undermine all that has already been established in previous series. I think T'Pol needs to either leave or be killed off. She is quite cold, even for a Vulcan. She has none of the mystique or complexities that Spock did, or any charisma for that matter. She is so rude and is so negative about everything. I truly believe that Enterprise needs to get off the ground. They haven't done much, honestly. Despite all of these shortfallings, there are still very many quality episodes that captivate me. I look forward to the next season and can only hope that the Expanse II is as enthralling as the first. If it's not, I'll still keep watching, even though it's no Voyager, DS9, TNG, or TOS.
Ktrek 06/03/2003
This show started out as just a good show. I have watched every episode over the last two years and many so-called fans are just too hard on the show. the last 7 episodes of season two were fantastic and the story writing gets better and the actors are starting to find their stride. I think season 3 will be a make it or break it season for Enterpise. I hope they can turn things around and gain a whole new audience. I say if the old Trekkers won't support it, who needs them! Let's get a whole new generation of Star Trek fans to keep the fire burning!!
sundance70 04/16/2003
I tried to watch the show but....oh boy!
Rick18 03/29/2003
Doesn't come close to TOS or TNG but light years better than DSN and Voyager. I like the way the series feels...not the vivid colors of TOS or the darker more organic colors of TNG...but this helps make this series unique. Some of the story lines need to be tightened up a bit and there needs to be more of a connection with TOS in some way...but overall I think the show has potential.
pizzut19 03/04/2003
Love it. The tapestry coming together towards the founding of the Federation, the occasional inside joke, wonderful. And I always knew that the Vulcans weren't as coolly logical as they wanted us to believe. Soval is the most arrogant, uptight of Ambassadors. Keep it up!
ghostrider 02/02/2003
Other than a few (to be expected) incongruities with the Original Series and other ST shows, this one pulls off a rough edged pre-"perfect society" future.
BonsaiGreg 01/11/2003
Solid Rodenberry fare - true to the spirit.
v the final battle 11/20/2002
although no star trek spin off will ever, in my opinion ,equal the next generation this one looks promising so far. the characters are good but not great(yet) even next generation took two seasons to flesh everyone out. personally commander trip tucker is already my favorite and brings back memories of dr.mccoy from the orginal. if there is one disappiontment with the show is that i thought the design of the enterprise would look more like the one seen in first contact(cocharn's rocket) cool theme song. different but good.
Terror K 10/26/2002
A travesty to the Star Trek series. Pure tripe, shallow characters and so many inconsistences its not funny. Ferengi and transporter capabilies this early my ass! The whole thing is filled with thousands of errors that soil the good Star Trek name. Thanks a lot for ruining Star Trek, Rick Berman. Gene Roddenberry would be rolling in his grave if he was in one.
Macca 02/23/2002
This will want to improve. Only seen the 1st hour of the first show, but so far I'm not overly impressed. My favourite was Voyager, it will never be that good.
Mystique 02/02/2002
I love Scott Bakula, but he's just not a starship commander. The whole thing is gray and boring!
legiondary 01/28/2002
I'll give this one a whole season before I pass a full judgement, but a pinch on the dissappointed side. The premise is the freshest spin on Trek yet. But I'll admit it, I had "expectations" and expectations are preconcieved dissappointment. I was really hoping to see the most human trek ever, where Archer didn't create the Prime Directive, but screw it up so bad that it had to be created. I was hoping to see us make mistakes, not always be so darned...right, perfect, successful, evolved. In other words see the process of growth that led to the high ideals of later treks, but trail and error, not continual flawlessness. In this trek, humans now all get along. I would have preferred it be because of this mission that humans start getting along. Clashes of cultures on the ship would provide more realistic drama and the opportunity for growth and resolution in future seasons. This so promised so much that wasn't run-of-the-mill trek, yet the majority of the crew was in uniform for a movie!...???...Sigh. I'll keep up till the end of the season, but so far, this is simply another Trek that fails to push the envelope into consistantly excellent sci-fi, instead of coasting on laurels until the occassional stellar episode (of which there isn't one yet.) Here's hoping to be proven wrong.
callmetootie 12/03/2001
Interesting promos, but the result I found was very bland, and the subplots didn't blend in with the main plot of the episodes. The acting was OK, and the main plots were, but it doesn't blend really at all, and with Enterprise, it's a big part of the show.
Potch1214 11/26/2001
Have seen every episode so far, gotta tell you I love it! At first I found the blatant language, sexuality and the theme songs (it's got words!) to be slightly disturbing, but now I appreciate that it is probably more realistic than some of the other Star Trek series (if a Sci-Fi show can BE realistic). I would recommend "Enterprise" to anyone who has never watched Star Trek, and defititely to all that have! Great show!
KatieClare 10/13/2001
For a Braga and Berman creation this show isn't bad. T'Pol needs to get a life and she's pretty much my only complaint about the series. I like the added sensuality and bad language, makes it more realistic. I also adore Porthos!
