these are probably the best cigs ever. They give off a nice smell that doesn't bother other people. i mainly smoke cigars and pipe, but these are my number one cig. i love the sweet taste they leave on your lips. I definatley reccommend these to people who are looking to smoke a good cig. and cloves are really relaxing.

Buzz isn't as good as I was expecting. Without doubt overrated. Smell and taste pretty damn good but all and all overrated. All the buzz myths are complete and utter bullshit. I've smoked only 3 and still have 17 I don't know how to get rid of. Just stick to regual cigs these disappointments aren't worth it. 2 starts for taste and smell.

I bought a pack of these for $8.00 and regretted it after the first puff. Personally, these cigarettes taste very strange (since it's half tobacco and half clove) and are hard on the lungs, since they contain twice the amount of tar compared to a conventional cigarette, but only contain half the nicotine! The flavoring put on the filter doesn't taste that great either. I would rather waste my lungs on Camel Filters and save tons of money.

Looking for a really slim clove cigarettes. Any ideas?

I dont smoke often, but my boyfriend does. One time, he was smoking one of these and when I kissed him, I could taste that sweet flavor from his lips. I asked him, whats that?, he said it was the flavor of the cigarette. I tried it myself and it was so good. Everytime I took a hit, I licked my lips to taste the clover flavor. Also, it is so smooth and relaxing. It makes me kind of dizzy, numb, without stress... I love the effect. Where I live it costs almost $9, is that the usual pricing everywhere?

As a non-smoker, I absolutely love this cigarettes. I only smoke them at parties, which is fairly rare, and they are so relaxing, dizzying even. I honestly can't stand up while smoking one of these, and I love it. I would imagine that has to do with a lack of tolerance from being a slef proclaimed "non-smoker". I can never find these except in one store about 100 miles away where I used to live. I usually keep a pack of Camel Golds around to calm my nerves when I have to, but the blacks are in a class of their own.

I bought a pack of these at a smoke shop where I used to live, found them last night at a 7-11. God they are good. They taste like cinnamon-infused cloves. The filter is sprinkled lightly with a very sweet, very nostalgic taste. The crackling is very appeasing to me for some reason, I find it intruiging. the whole cigarette is black. A pack runs about a dollar more than an already overpriced cigarette box (I make my own TOP cigarettes, a carton costs a little under 10 dollars) But when I have money to burn and I feel like rewarding my nicotine-infested braincells I get them Djarums.

Look for them at Convience Stores such as 7-11. I don't really like them it's not liking smoking a real cigarette, and the taste on the filter is neither good nor bad, it's just weird. They also crackle like firecrackers.

Where can I buy these? Are they at regular gas stations?

Liked them at first... But eventually they made me sick to my stomach.

Smoked Five this morning.

Once in awhile is okay but after you cough up a little blood during a steady week of smoking, you begin to reconsider. Great taste although rather sweet. Still a good occasional smoke but definitely not every day.

Sweet smelling or long lasting, all that doesn't matter once it kills you...

I just bought a pack of these about thirty mins ago. I noticed first off how well the box was constructed and how they are divided into two wrappers. GENIUS!!! Now to the good stuff. They take a little more effort to light than a regular cig. ( i was using a expensive butane lighter $50) Once light you will notice that it fills the room is a Great smell. Kinda like someone is cooking with and a slight hit of tobacco. The cigarette is a little thinner than a regular. They burn lots longer than a regular. I could burn a marlboro in 2 mins or less. I found myself taking about 10-15 minutes. The smell is very plesent and nobody will be able to guess what you smoked.... they will car a cigare... no ... wait....WTF did you smoke??? lol. But at $3.47 a pack and hard to find at that, it is a GREAT smoke. One bad thing: when i took a drag, it crackled like expected and then a hot ash fell on my pants and left a hole. :-( ..... ( lesson learned: dont smoke with pants on....lol, smoke naked)

i with thedarkprince on this one. great cig with am azing taste and smell. if you smoke it too fast tho  or  have a few at once your probably going to feel  a little dizzy and lightheaded and sick. so just t ake it easy with them, but theyre overall deffff on e of my favorite cigs.

Blacks = Amazing! Clove cigs are much different then normal cigs. From what I hear they have much less nicotine which is great...They smell great and don't leave the bad after-smoke-smell. They also numb your throat which makes it even cooler. Don't smoke too many though or they'll rip your throat up. Cloves are more for occasions. Kinda like cigars...You don't want to have them all the time.. But overall, they're amazing!!

Djarum blacks are definitely a sweet smoke with a great taste, but I mostly smoke them for the buzz. Unlike other smokes, these don't give me a giddy lightheaded feeling, but rather a very relaxed euphoria; as if my whole body just decided to chill out.

I have heard that these aren't addictive in the same way other smokes are, either, and so far I believe it. I'll light up about once a week when I'm really stress out, and they'll really feel great. Also, they taste like a sweet chai tea, and contrast beautifully with a cup of joe.

Also, they aren't popular among regular smokers since you can't do more than a few of these without killing your throat, so lighting one up tends to seem esoteric (especially with their unique scent and packaging), and has a subcultural appeal. Some people like that. If I didn't hang around goths I'd have never heard of them. Also recommended are Djarum specials.

I've never really liked cigarettes, I enjoyed the occasional cigar, but cigarettes never did it for me, then I tried Blacks and everything changed. This is such a great product, great taste, highly recomended

They're one of my favorite cigarettes. I am a bit of a clove snob, ever since I started smoking them a good six months ago (I smoked traditional cigarettes off and on before that). Ever since I have smoked Djarum kreteks; regular cigs just don't seem to stand up. Blacks are sweet and flavorful. My biggest qualm with them is that they do leave you a little light-headed. Not sure why--I think the nicotine and tar content are quite close to other cigarettes', and other Djarums don't seem to have the same effect.

I've only had 5 of these before, but man, they are good! They taste really good, last forever, and a great buzz. I like how it numbs my mouth as well.

I smoke full-flavor cigarettes and Djarum Blacks make me super dizzy. However, the design and packaging is fabulous. They also taste magical.

These have good flavor as well as smoothness but once you have tried djarum super's you will never want to buy another pack of these ever again.

the first cigarette I ever smoked ... delicious, premium, classy, the real deal. these black cigarettes produce the strong and recognizable smell of cloves. I never became addicted because if I had more than one every day or two, they lost their "magic," so I paced myself and kept control.

Ok,so this is an Indonesian ciggarette, and I'm Indonesian, so I smoked cloves even before I started smoking regular tobacco ciggarettes(Marlboro,..,etc).

The funny thing is, in Indonesia, nobody smokes Djarum Black...Djarum markets Black only for outside Indonesia I think...In fact, I've only heard of Black after I got to US. Also Djarum is only the 3rd most popular clove brand in Indo...The first is Gudang Garam, 2nd is Sampoerna.

If you like clove, do yourself a favor and stop smoking these, because this is not how clove is supposed to taste like...In Indonesia everyone who smoke Djarum smoke "Djarum Super" or "Djarum Coklat"( Djarum's first product). Or even try Sampoerna A Mild....Now If you want a real premium clove (and a strong one), try "234" (pornounced Dji Sam Soe). This is a sub-brand of Sampoerna)....Try any one of these and you wont go back to Black...

The first couple that I had were disgusting and I was pissed about buying the pack. Then after abuot the 4th smoke, I really acquired a taste for them and fell in love with the buzz they produce. Now I buy them on special occasions only since they are rather harsh to smoke on a regular basis.

P.S. all cloves crackle, that's why they're called Kreteks in indonesia or wherever they're made, kretek is an onomatopoeia for that "fireworks" noise they make..

these are the bast clove cigs ever though you all need to try the "splashes" and if you sont like these then cut off your balls and suficate yourself with them so you go to hell were you belong

these are without a doubt the best clove around. when i first had one i was hooked. but after finishing about 2 packs of these, they've started to get very old and nasty. they're good for a once and awhile smoke, very far in between smoking. but i must say they are excellent with a cold brew.

Just bought a pack, and after I finish one, I cant wait for the next. I only smoke one or two a day. They taste great, and are super smooth. No euphoria for me though, maybe I'll rip the filter off the next one and smoke it fast to see if I can get the feeling. I like them a lot, but in Michigan they are 7.94 a pack, too much money for continual use.

After trying all different kinds of cloves, I fell in love with these. I don't know if I sometimes get the "new" ones with the cheap paper and filter or if I sometimes get some stale ones, because sometimes the sweetness and flavor are so sweetly, spicily intense, I just love the sensual experience of smoking one. At other times, I'll buy 2 packs and can't wait to get done with them because they seem stale; lacking the filtered sweetness and wonderful fragrance. I buy from a tobacconist who also has a liquor store in the adfacent unit where he sells some of his products in the after-retail hours. I buy from both stores, always get 2 packs at a time and they're either wonderful, or seem stale, no in-between. Even if it's the first two of a new container, they can taste different. How recently have they changed their formula? I just love these guys otherwise. I am seeking a cigarette humidor to have these around for the occasional craving.

I used to like how they tasted before the taste changed. I would go through a pack a week maybe.. They used to be very delicious! Now, they seem less clove-y and sweeter. The filter also now has holes punched into it like some American brands. Still, it's a great kretek to smoke with a cup of coffee.. but you can hold the sugar cause Blacks are sweet enough om their own.

good stuff! dont' smoke too many though or they'll tear your throat up. i smoked almost a whole pack yesterday and my throat is somewhat sore today. oh well... it was worth it.

these are great on many levels (taste, buzz, sexiness, lack of smell). you can't imagine how many kids bought them after bumming them from me!

I would never smoke these sweet little flavor bombs daily, but they are definately a easy way to treat myself to something after studying for hours or having a long work day.  The cloves produce a chemical that numbs the tongue and throat similar to a menthol but much sweeter and more exotic tasting.  Between four and five dollars for a pack where I'm from.

I noticed it too. They are sweeter and lack the complexity I liked about Blacks. I am somewhat unhappy and wish they'd change them back!

Has anyone noticed that they changed the paper to a colored logo. The new paper is not good. The filter is getting plugged up and they taste a bit different. Does anyone have info on this?

These are great. I am not the typical smoker and my friend recommended them to me and they are the perfect light cigarette. They are great for feeling relaxed and great before and after sex. They smell soooo good and get me light headed and happy and they are ok to smoke indoors because they don't leave a "cig" smell. I would not recommened this for a heavy smoker..actually some men call them girly cigs because they are not "strong like marbloro reds" LOL (Im a girl myself) The light headed relaxed feeling makes me want to get high so I really love them! Its funny because I just crave them every now and then unlike the typical cig.

Djarum Blacks are a nice cigarette..I've read a lot of reviews about how they kick like a mule or knock you off your feet even make your tounge and throat go numb..No they don't..and they to me don't give me a strong nicotine buzz. To me these are light but very nice to smoke because the taste and it's very enjoyable not because the butts are dipped in a sugar sauce but because they smell good and taste good. I do however find them very addicting because of the taste..I crave them like a pregnant woman craves food..They just don't fuel me up with that nicotine high lol. To me they are like smoking a regular cigarette except they don't have the nasty smell or taste. I recommend these to anyone who enjoy mixing up their cigarette. If you love Menthol you'll love these..Oh and they won't get you laid lol..that's a lie it's all in your head. And..Their NOT strong!!!! lol :-D

I just recently began smoking blacks and i love them! Today i was smoking one and this person came up to me and said "hey you smoking a black?" i said yea. "you know those fill your lungs up with a some blood after every pack right?" Sounds a little far fetched but does anyone know? or any of the - side effects other cancer.

They are great!!!!! But are they just as bad as other brands and none cloved cigarettes? They sure beats the hell out of those other nasty tasting smokes.
If you want to quit smoking, just start smoking Djarum cloves, it's the next best thing to not smoking.

they really are the best cigarettes i have ever had! i will not smoke anything else, though i wish they weren't so expensive! but really, if you haven't tried them, then you must. they great thing about these is not only that they taste good, but you also don't smell at all like a cig, but actually very good. and you can take your time with these and just enjoy the euphoria. i just love them, they are much cleaner than cigs

They're alright. Frankly overpriced. Nice flavor and not as strong (in my opinion) as some people claim. Certainly a "cigar" like Black&Milds will give you a far greater nicotine hit and "buzz" and also has a stronger aroma than Blacks.

absolutely the best smokes in the world. not only to they taste like smoking a delicious Christmas ham they give you more nicotine than three Marlboro 100s, so perfect for sharing. possibly the only cigs that will greatly improve your chances of getting laid. expensive, but perfect conversation starter.

Smoking a Djaram Black is like taking a few hits off of a blunt or something. They definately produce that little euphoric feeling anyone can appreciate. I would recommend them to anyone. They definately hit the spot... And you won't get fired for failing a piss test!
