 | Seraph (8) 01/30/2006 | Awesome in all varieties. You can make butternut squash french fries with a little salt. You can add sweetener, cinnamon, and calorie-free pancake syrup (weird idea of mine, but it's great!) to pureed winter squash for instant awesomeness. And it's healthy, too!

 | frogger20190 (3) 07/12/2005 | Acorn squash.....delicious. The only vegetable that could pass for dessert (put cinnamon and marshallows in it). Also great mashed.
Not a fan of other types of squash. This rating is for acorn only.

 | kissthecook (8) 05/23/2005 | My dad used to grill out a lot in the summers. I have very fond memories of his cooking. He used to grill squash with every meal and he and I were the only ones who liked it. We always happily ate everyone else's share.

 | jred (0) 10/11/2003 | Squash is one of the foods that allowed our North American forefathers to survive long, cold winters. It lasts for months without spoiling, is nutrient rich, and can be prepared in many delicious ways. I like mine with real maple syrup and butter.

 | Ligeia (0) 03/04/2003 | Squash is such a versatile vegetable (let alone the fact that there are so many different *kinds* of squash). Yellow squash roasted in olive oil and balsamic vinegar is YUMMY.
