01/31/2006 | Always liked Olives. both kinds black, and the green ones with the pimentos.It seems like i am the only one in my family who liked green olives. so cannot use them in recipies. I like the taste myself.

05/23/2005 | If I am not mistaken, I believe that olives are actually a fruit. They are great for garnishes and eaten on their own. I am not too fond of the ripe black olives canned in water, other than as a kid putting one on each tip of your finger, there is not much flavor to them. You cannot make a good Greek salad without a Kalamata olives and a lot of feta cheese. I like the good little wrinkled looking Greek olives as well on cold meat subs.

06/12/2002 | If, when picturing olives, you draw a mental image of 35 dull-green spheres in an oddly shaped jar with pimentoes (sp?) in the center, then you haven't had GREAT olives. Go to Greece in the fall and eat olives when they're really good and fresh.
