Good retro movie for your back to the 80s party. Gizmo is really cute. I wanted one when I was little but I don't think anyone could be responsible enough to have one of those. You can't even give it a bath! I like that smartassed one with the glasses. Was that the 2nd movie?

A warm and cuddly beginning gives way to mayhem. Obviously intended for kids, it is a bit too scary for the really young ones. Otherwise it qualifies as a family film. The special-effects are pretty good too. Recommended.

It was fun when it first came out, but it doesn't really wear that well.

Gremlins really isn't a horror movie, although some little kids are scared by it. This movie terrified my little sister when she was little. She's 24 and she still doesn't like Gremlins. I'd say Gremlins is more of a comedy, but it's definitely a great movie.

I really didn't want to give this one 5 stars, but I can't help myself. I love this movie. It's a little corny, but that's part of its charm. Watching it brings me back to being a kid and thinking it's the coolest thing I've ever seen.

Too funny and cute to be scary, but all together a good movie. I have watched it time and time again. Bright lights, bright lights, gets me every time.

A very strange movie.....comedy and horror and fantasy rolled into one.
Pretty mean-spirited actually.
Not good repeat viewing here...the sequel is wilder, and better.

I also think this is an outrageous comedy. Some of my favorites are Stripe (of course), the ones in the snowplow, and the carolers in front of Mrs. Deagle's house. (Deagle Deagle) The bar scene is also brilliant. ONE MORE: I like the one with the popcorn bags on his ears in the movie theater.
