 | convinced1972 (20) 11/19/2008 | I honestly like and own all of their albums but the live version of Operation Mindcrime II. I like how they progressed though I wish they would go back to the heavy side. The Hands was a nice taste of the old combined with the new.

 | OceanSoul (10) 11/19/2008 | Queensryche was cutting edge progressive metal in the 80's. All of the releases up to EMPIRE were solid. They lost their way for a long time, but came back triumphantly with OPERATION: MINDCRIME II. Geoff Tate is one of the great vocalists in rock or metal.

 | theryche (1) 02/18/2007 | One of my top 5 bands of all time. Musically, vocally, and songwriting make them one of the best hard rock/metal bands of the 80's thru the 90's. Operation Mindcrime is a Masterpiece and the follow up, Operation Mindcrime II, while not as great is still a notch above most music being played today. Other classic ablums by them include Rage for Order, The Warning, Promised Land, amd Empire. Vocalist Geoff Tate has one of the most powerfull voices in metal...or at least he did. He can still hit those notes, but not like in the old days. Their conecrts are great and Tate's stage precsence during the Promised Land tour is classic. It is said that Operation Mindcrime may be made into a movie and/or play...that should be interesting.

 | leftfinger (2) 08/14/2006 | Operation Mindcrime is brilliant. Queensryche has a nice balance of heavy dual guitars offset nicely by Geoff Tate's melodic vocals. Good band.

 | Limpin' Trenchfoot (18) 07/26/2006 | Pink Floyd meets Iron Maiden eh? Sort of akin to herpes meets acne. Mindcrime..a prog metal concept album, a phrase that makes my blood run cold.

 | Rockon64 (2) 05/25/2006 | Great stuff! Rush meets Pink Floyd meets Iron Maiden, and musicianmanship takes a back seat to no one.

 | Gromit (2) 04/06/2006 | Absolutely BRILLIANT, 'tour de force' hard rock/metal band! 'The Warning' alone, merits 5 stars easily. I saw 'The Warning' Tour way back in the early 80's at a rock club in Brooklyn, NY called "L'Amours'. One of the BEST shows i've EVER seen hands down, and i've seen over 650 live shows in my time on this planet thus far! Queensryche (at least the early to mid stuff) stands at the pinnacle of all time metal GENIUS!

 | SofaKingAZ (0) 08/12/2004 | Hard to place them alone in this genre, but if I had to choose one, they would be it. Powerful vocals! Heavy guitars! Rhythmatic precussion! Their Operation Mindcrime album is one of the best ever!
