 | TeresaG (29) 04/03/2008 | Never been disappointed. My sister is the Food and Beverage Director for the Marriott in Houston ~ so I get the family discounts. Price wise, how can I complain

 | ThomasNikl (0) 05/06/2007 | I stay at Marriott's roughly 75-100 times a year (for business) and I've never been disappointed. They are always clean and attentive.

 | irishgit (137) 04/02/2007 | Consistently decent but vastly overpriced for what you're getting. They're too focussed on their first three floors.

 | Mr.Political (18) 11/13/2004 | YRFan is right about this. I've had a few conferences here and the hotel is perfect for that. However, the rooms are pretty much the armpit of the world.

 | Sundiszno (30) 03/31/2004 | Marriotts can sometimes be disappointing. I think that they are somewhat overpriced, both here in the US as well as abroad. I stayed at the Marriott in Budapest, which offered great service and an impressive lobby. Room was good, but food prices were exorbitant (I never did eat there). OK if you don't have other coices.

 | AquariusGuy77 (0) 04/22/2003 | Marriotts are known for being a reliable, you-know-what-you're-gonna get chain. However, Marriott has to be one of the most inconsistent chains I have ever stayed with. The service levels at these properties are what is mainly the same time and time again. It's the actual physical condition of these properties that flucuates. Some Marriotts are stellar, modern buildings (San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina, JW Marriott Cancun, Marriott South Beach in Miami), while others (San Ramon Marriott in California, Norwalk Marriott in California) are incredibly run-down and antiquated. The key is to do research on the exact property you are planning on staying at. Marriott is a great chain, and you really can't go too wrong with them. Plus, they have properties almost anywhere in the world and with all types to fit your needs - from the limited service properties (Courtyards, Residence Inns), to the mainline hotels (Marriott), to the upscale resorts (JW Marriott).

 | YRFan (0) 02/23/2003 | Marriott is made for conventions. Great conference facilities. Small rooms.

 | Par75 (0) 11/28/2002 | Marriott's are consistent. You always know what you're going to get. Their beds and pillows are OK, the rooms are clean, and the staff is usually friendly. I also like the free USA Today or Wall St Journal and the free coffee in the room.

 | callmetootie (4) 04/10/2001 | I stay at the Marriott Courtyards here in New York, and I think that I will stay at that kind, because they are so friendly and the rooms are extremly confortable.

 | larz (0) 11/19/2000 | I had trouble with one marriot where a hotel clerk did not take my payment properly and the management of the hotel would not honor payment.

 | SamIAm (4) 07/28/2000 | I have stayed at both good and bad Marriotts. I always thought that Marriott was one of the premiere hotels, and I have stayed in nice ones. However, I had a rather poor experience at one that (honestly) resembled a run down motel, rather than the high quality Marriott that I was used to. I will never be able to accurately describe the smell of the room..kind of musty, smoky, with the overpowering scent of cleanser that was trying to overpower the feeling that this room was possibly "rented by the hour". There were no clean linens, cigarette burns in the beadspread (a non smoking room, mind you!). The pool was not opened..I could go on and on. In my experience, you can't judge a Marriott simply by name, you really have to know something about the one you are going to.

 | PoorOldEdgarDerby (4) 07/26/2000 | I've always been partial to Marriotts and I'm not sure why, I guess it could be because it's the place my grandparents would always stay whenever they would visit. Always nice, always clean, good food, service, never had a problem.
