Camel Filters are my favorite cigarette, since they burn fairly slow and have an unbeatable taste. I used to smoke Camel Lights when I was younger, when Light cigarettes were supposedly "healthier" than Full Flavors, but now I'm back on these. The price can sometimes be higher than Marlboro, but they're mainly B2G1 at smoke stores and gas stations, so it's really no problem. If I'm running low on money I will sometimes smoke Pall Malls, but Camel Filters are my favorite.

Mondurloe 06/27/2007
Not much to dislike, much to be loved.Smooth and refreshing taste. Can't go wrong with these.
TommyN 06/26/2007
Total crap, made my stomach hurt. First pack of cigarettes I ever had, I thouth I would never smoke again.
Rumpole 06/06/2007
Most of today’s top brands like Marlboro, Newport and Winston began their heyday in the 60’s and 70’s; the exception is Camel, which was a top brand well before the war when Chesterfield and Lucky Strike were best sellers, and this older heritage shows in the fuller, richer taste. They have a smooth buttery flavor with a touch of caramel sweetness. Burns slower than PM products, not as slow as Pall Mall. PM’s Marlboro Blend 27 emulates these, and are even smoother but not as strong, and the butter/caramel note not as pronounced. An enjoyable and satisfying cigarette, one of RJR’s best.

I'm a fan of a lot of different camel cigs but I didn't think these were up to par. Wides were better, as were no filters. Even the new no. 9's are better, though if I'm going to buy a camel product regularly in the future it would have to be the wides.
Boyyyyyyy 05/09/2007
I just bought a pack. Why do I not feel incredibly good after I smoke these? Like the relaxed and calming your nerves feeling. I got it off every cigarette beside these (including camel turkish golds, silvers, signature blends).

I Live in Europe,my Camel are made by JT International(Not RJ Reynolds as in USA) and i think that Camel is the world's best cigarette! Not a smoke for everyone, but only for smokers who know what they want! The taste is characterystical and the smell is like no other cigarette!
Did anyone of our American Friends had taste a European Camel? If yes, please make a comment and tell me which version is better.
yasue 04/11/2007
Great taste. Good aftertaste as well. Don't make my mouth feel like crap as Marlboros do.
brandon2356 04/01/2007
Miles better than Marlboro (as are all Camels).
Tothefullest7 02/06/2007
great. has a nice, even taste, just the right amount of buzz, burns slow, but not too slow. also, i bought a pack of marlboros and a pack of camel filters, and i noticed that the camels were a little longer than the marlboros (no the camels werent 100s). i think that says something. definitly my default brand. also, they really dont feel hard on your lungs unlike newports do. it just sorta seems to slide into you and slide out. i really love these fuckers.
bigsmokinpete 01/15/2007
been smoking a pack of these a day for almost three years i'll buy a pack of newports or american spirits every once in a while, but i keep coming back to camel filters they taste so good and strong if you're gonna smoke cigarettes, why would you smoke lights? might as well enjoy the taste of tobacco if you're gonna get the cancer
Petran 12/26/2006
i live in Europe and Camel is made from a JT International, this company make the worst cigarette of the world
mrt710 12/24/2006
these are good and i like the flavor but these make me cough more than any other cigarette
merugo 11/13/2006
A good casual smoke.
ppdjf 11/13/2006
The fucking best. one that i call my own. smoked these when i was 15 and still smoke them.dont smoke any thing else
JonJonello 10/06/2006
The first cigarette I started smoking. Taste great, smell great, but sometimes they can be a little harsh on the throat. However, they are still one of my favorite smokes but I've switched to the wides.
Mulholland 09/06/2006
Camel Filters -- the first cigarette that I could call my own. Everyone else I knew smoked Marlboro (pick any variety). But as one that has always tried to be somewhat unique, I was more attracted to the vintage, intriguing and mysterious Camel brand (heehee). I started off smoking Camel Lights -- a decent smoke, but I craved something a tad bit stronger. Then I fell for these darlings. I think the best thing about them is their superb taste. Nothing can bet that toasty/sweet Turkish blend. I sometimes even taste a hint of chocolate in them. I highly recommend these.
Sustya 08/17/2006
Clearly not for everybody, but Camel Filters are unquestionably the best quality tobacco for me. Rich, smooth flavor. Sort of like Laramie tobacco :)
snowflake1 05/27/2006
Very good cigarette with a cute little pack. I love to sit in the park and look at the little mosques on the back of the pack, very nice. They give an ok buzz but Lucky Strikes give the best, it's like a trippy headache almost.
Drumwiz 04/25/2006
Tried these and they are a bit too strong for me, dont really like the taste either-there pretty much as bad for you as Newports(so the ratings say) so mine as well smoke Newports over these.
the_Black_Lung 03/02/2006
my first cig and one of my favorites. these have a really good strong flavor and offer a great smoking experience. there perfect anytime and anywhere. i find that i enjoy these the most when i smoke them in a combo. I'll smoke one or two of these then i'll smoke a marb 27 right after, its so amazing. the 27 combined with the aftertaste of the camel is just a perfect blend. you get the smoothness of the 27 and that full flavor from the camel at the same time. you should try it you wont regret it. oh and another great camel are the Royals, they are lighter but the smoothness of these is just perfect when u want to settle down and relax ZzZzZzZz
homersimpson40 02/16/2006
with camels u either like them or u dont, when i first had one it tasted weird unlike any other cigarette i had before. it was pretty unique. i didnt like it at first but after a few i started liking the flavour and had a pretty good time with it. i liek these once in a while.
mattji104 01/16/2006
Definately my second favorite cigarette, only Lucky Strikes have been better in my opinion. Awesome aftertaste, and taste, sort of a hard pull through the filter, but that doesn't matter very much. The smell afterwards is so good it might even be ok to a non smoker d;)
AsYouSpeak 12/15/2005
a good kick, and a very very pleasant smelling cigarette
niceporch 10/06/2005
The classic cigarette. My favorite. Strong and smooth. A good punch to the lungs. Nicotine o' plenty.
MikeShempbo 08/29/2005
Only downside to these Turkish treats is that my local MI gas stations try to jack the price up $1.50 or so more than what I get at the smokeshop. Strong yet smooth and refined. Different than other full strength smokes. Very enjoyable.
sirshacky 08/11/2005
These cigarettes are hardcore. Back in the days of my youth, if you smoked Camel Filters you clearly knew what you were doing. I never liked them much. Way too harsh and strong.
antimatter235 07/28/2005
Nice flavor, strong but smooth. For the few who care, they will notice the quality of the tobacco to the touch. It's always good but it's also a beginner's choice.
camel_queen 05/25/2005
Wow I just tried these for the first time today. I'm regularly a Camel Lights smoker so these reallllly had a nice effect on me. I had two an hour ago and I'm still buzzy. Wow. These were great. Smooth and delicious and burned slower than lights. Highly reccommend.
Greg123321 05/24/2005
Smoked a pack of these once, they're OK. I think Marlboro lights or Turkish Golds are better
hondadriver22 05/11/2005
Enough nicotine to keep you satisfied for long periods of time. Good taste, great price. Aftertaste is not as good as turkish gold but the nicotine more than makes up for it. And nothing goes better with icecold beers.
Nick Post 04/29/2005
To me, this is the best regular smoke out there. I've actually been smoking more Turkish Royals lately, but to me, Camel Filters are like corn flakes, a classic that will never go away. The high nicotine content but smooth taste makes for an easy way to get your fix, and unlike light smokers, you won't be headed outside every 40 minutes. Staying power. I've also had the European Camels, grown in the Ukraine but bought in Moldova, and I find them to be a tad sweeter, regardless that it's the same tobacco species and blend. I think it might be the weather difference or the soil. I thought I'd mention that for our non-US pals.
TheNutMan 02/23/2005
It seems most the people I know who smoke choose these or Camel Lights. I choose these. I guess it might be a High School thing... but I like these alot. Every once in a while a Cherry or Strawberry Prime Time on the side, mmm.
redfront 01/23/2005
Definitely a classic, good cigarette. Its strong, even with a filter. A great, basic cigarette. I reccomend this to any newer smoker.
Batch 01/04/2005
Mediocre. Sort of tart in a weird way. Bad aftertaste. Good if your just haning out with you buds.
Tyler12 11/29/2004
Another bad product of camel.
Jungle boy 11/23/2004
Camel Filters are one of the best cigarettes I have ever tasted. I am not a regular smoker, but I do enjoy a good smoke a few times a year and Camel's are one of my favourites. They are very, very smooth and easy to smoke, even for a non smoker. They have a sort of smooth almost nutty flavour to them wich I find to be very pleasant. If you want a smooth, flavourfull cigarette then try Camels.
DoYouWash 11/22/2004
They're all right.
gman1214 10/20/2004
This is the best non-menthol cigarette I have ever smoked. They have a good flavor and they are really smooth. I recommend this cigarette above all else.
Innkeeper 06/30/2004
Camel filters are the best! though recently they have changed to German manufacture (at least in Australia anyway) and now they taste like crap! I've tried just about every other brand avialable but none could compare to the good old made in USA Camel Filters, I missed them so much I might just have to give up :( To those tree hugging hippies: go and munch on your tofu salads and piss off!!!
CornCob 06/26/2004
These are tasty and smooth. If you like these try the Wides.
fluffy nuggets 06/23/2004
This is usually what I will smoke. Just what I need to calm down after stress. They give me a great buzz when inhaled deeply and exhaled out my nose. I'd like to find the menthol flavor.
tomas1 06/23/2004
The best cigarettes money can buy!! and to the commie, homos who leave anti-smoking msgs one word: get out of here!!
CamelsNumberOn e 05/29/2004
Easily the best Full Flavored Cig out there. Marboro Reds cant touch them. Even though they are relatively strong, you dont notice it because they're so damn smoothe. Smoke Camel Filters
suckerfish 05/17/2004
i have smoked camel filter for over 5 years, and rate them as the best cigarette ever. they are really strong, but smooth and easy to smoke. you cannot beat that distinctive turkish tobacco taste!
teyie 03/26/2004
if i'm not in the mood for menthol i want these. they are really strong, but i like that. ^_-
kieth21 03/10/2004
Might sound odd but if you let them get a little stale they taste even better.
kolby1973 10/24/2003
This is the worst cigarette made by RJ Reynold's. I do not recommend it to any smoker out there. You are better off with a Newport!
jazzybee 10/05/2003
i'm not going to say that they are the best cigs in the world, but the camel filters are very strong and they pack a nice nicotine buzz, but if they aren't smoked within a 2 or 3 days, then they kinda go bad. if you like these, try the camel cremas, or the dark mints.. they are even better and they come in a nice metal tin to boot.
