Statistics show that humans develop their personality by the age of 2. I lost my mother when I was 5, she was 27. I believe I am who I am today because of my short time with my mom. I have been told that she was a strong woman of faith and she loved her children dearly. I miss my mom and have a empty place in my heart. I believe she was very wise and had good judgment in raising her children. I'm not perfect by any means but from what I remember and what I've been told she was as near to perfect that a person could possibly be.

Hmm. . .she was nice, kind, giving, wanted me to have an education and success- but she did confide in me that she never felt 'wise'. . .she had a strange honesty that I admired for its self deprecation (sp?). If I had to, I'd put this one lower than a few other necessities. . .

When I was a teenager I thought the old broad was an idiot.

By the time I was 35 it was amazing how much she had learned.

For me personally I think that this is something thats really important for any parent to pass on to their child. If you don't advise them and talk to them their going to get their "info" from elsewhere and sometimes this may be misleading. At least if they hear it from your mouth it's not because you want them to get into trouble or your trying to lead them astray, your installing wisdom into their lives because you love them and want the best for them.

Wisdom comes with age and experience. It is only natural to pass what you have learned onto your children.

My Mom is very wise, and so are many Mothers I know. The Greek Godess of Wisdom was "Sophia".We can all learn a lot from listening to wise women.Women have a stronger connection to the Earth. They know what Nurturing is all about, and they intuitively know how foolish it is to abuse the eco-system and march off to War when it isn't an absolute necessity.I wish more World Leaders were women & Moms.

my mother is the wisest person i know. she has a way at looking at things that always makes everything easier to deal with. she always manages to stay calm and reasonable. she always looks at the world with understanding and compassion which sometimes i have trouble doing.

I think this goes hand in hand with a mother's strength and the way she applies it to her family.
