This would be a very interesting hobby. It would be interesting seeing clocks from different eras. But one thing though - never ask the person who collects the clocks the time, because a person with two watches will always be confused about the time!

A fascinating hobby especially if you have the tools and facilities to do the upkeep yourself. I started with one clock in 1988 and by 1991 I opened a clock repair shop in Safety Harbor, Fla. I've since left the clock repair trade but still have a small collection of my favorites. Old technology and the cleverness of design back in the days when there was no electric tools or machinery is a marvel to the eye and a tribute to the people who designed and built them. I guarantee that those little plastic quartz timepieces that you find today will be dead and decomposed long before my 1904 Gustav Becker anniversary clock quits running.

The only clock that I collect is the one grandpa gave me. Otherwise, I just use my watch.

I have an uncle who collects clocks; you really don't want to be at his house at the top of the hour, it is quite noisy.
