 | irishgit (138) 04/08/2008 | I'm a big fan, but its well worth the extra bucks to buy something good.
Bad bourbon is a step down from drinking transmission fluid.
And probably worse for you.

 | twansalem (36) 03/27/2008 | Bourbon is probably my favorite type of hard alcohol. My personal pick would be Jim Beam Black Label. It's affordable (cheaper than Jack Daniels, which isn't actually a bourbon, by the way), yet it is as good or better than many more expensive brands.

 | sperryc (29) 03/27/2008 | Ever since moving to Virginia, which we Philadelphians know to be the deep, deep South, I've taken a real liking to Bourbon -- especially Kentucky Gentleman

 | GenghisTheHun (168) 01/20/2007 | OK--use water. Go for quality bourbon. You get what you pay for here. Usually the higher the price, the better the whiskey. Go sparingly on the ice. Ice kills taste.

 | FranksWildYears (48) 05/24/2006 | Of the Whiskey family, including Scotch, Rye, Irish Whskey, etc. Bourbon is my favourite for sipping straight or on the rocks. While there are endless varieties, seasonings and malts of Scotch, Bourbon has a nice mellow burn to it. In Canada where Rye or Cnadian Whiskey are the prefered drink, the selection of bourbon brands is limited. My favourite is Wild Turkey. Makers Mark is excellent, if a little pricey. Jack Daniels will always get you through the night.
