It's amazing to me that this is even a question. And to the brain-trust who referred to her as a one-hit wonder -- she had more top 40 hits than Zeppelin, the Yardbirds, or Cream and I'm assuming you have no problem with their inclusion in the hall?

Since day one, Joan Jett has been a TRUE pioneer for women in Rock. She taught us we could rock as hard as any of the boys. As a female rocker, I am forever in her debt. Her music has helped to shape Rock-n-Roll for a generation, and she is certainly the most deserving woman of a spot in the RnRHOF! As a business woman, she has fought and beat the odds time and time again, starting her own successful label after being rejected by 23 male-dominated companies. She has refused to accept 'no' for an answer - that's the true spirit of Rock-n-Roll, personified! [Yes, I'm a Joan Jett fan, and no, I'm not the same person as anyone else who has posted comments. its so clear what has happened here so i will not waste my time pointing it out. the sad thing is that somebody couldn't stand strong enough on their own believing in something that they created imaginary friends to back them up. when you like someone or something that doesn't happen to be the favorite of the majority then its better to stand proud with the few and be unique then it is to immaturely waste the time of those that honestly put their opinion on their favorites. i like joan jett but deserving of the rock and roll hall of fame maybe but her place on this list at #1 no.

Ms. Jett is the persona of Rock and Roll! She lived it! She loves it! And she persists...A true Rock and Roller! She won my (black)heart and well as many others. She is quite the influence, and a great supporter of good music.

I feel the need to set something straight here. This is not one person giving Joan all these five stars. Joan has a big number of loyal fans and that is who this is. Once we found out about this we all had to vote for our women, we have wanted Joan to get in to the hall of fame for years and we are just showing our support, so get over it. Whoever you think should be #1 on this list obviously does not have loyal fans like this, we are just working together to show our support for Joan. Her music is not crap either, just because you dont like the music type gives you no reason to say S**t like that. So just stop saying this BS and get over it. Joan has been through so much and deserves it more then anybody. Because of this i will also give Joan 5 stars, because the Hall of Fame is waiting for her!!!

No one deserves to be in the Hall of Fame more than Joan. Joan Jett IS Rock and Roll, Pure and Simple.

The Queen of RnR. The Iron Woman of RnR. Joan has had so many firsts that have already been discussed so completely by others here. There is and never has been anyone that I would pay to see in concert 9 times like I have for Joan Jett. Totally energized everytime she runs out on stage, always ready to give 110% of herself to her audience. WHY? Sometimes it is not the largest crowd, or the nicest arena, but it doesn't matter to her. Joan is dedicated to rock and roll and that is what she cares about. She's there to rock you and to make sure you have a heart pounding, fist pumping, sweat pouring good time. I saw her in 1985 for the first time, and a few months ago most recently, and she just gets better and better and better. Joan has been captivating audiences for around 30 years now, (counting her time in the Runaways). How can Joan be denied the RnR Hall of Fame?...When I see Joan on stage and she lifts that white Gibson and dives in to Bad Reputation, every time I know that I am watching a legend, a living legend, a legend that is still going strong, still rocking our world. Joans latest cd ,Naked, is the best of her career in my opinion. So many songs are so much better than a lot of the stuff on the radio today its pathetic. Joan is already in my Hall of Fame, Let's put her in the RnR Hall of Fame where she belongs!

Of course Joan Jett should be in the Hall Of Fame! She's a true original as well as an inspiration for Goddess knows how many women (including yours truly) I can think of no one more deserving of the honor than Joan. Anyone who doubts it should see her play...just once will do it...and you'll know that the Hall cannot possibly be considered complete without Joan Jett!!

As mentioned for many years as one of the hardest working rockers, Joan Jett deserves this place in history. Not only for her unselfish contribution to Rock and Roll but also for her genuine love for the music itself.

Joan Jett really deserves to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, she started the first all girl Rock Band, she has also carved out a solo career with several hits and she still continues to preform live. There are alot of musicians out there that say the are rock stars then there is Joan Jett, A TRUE ROCK STAR !! I've seen her live several times and each time I leave the show just amazed, If you have never been to a live Joan Jett show you owe it to yourself to see her live, she will blow you away!!

Joan Jett has and continues to do her best to keep the rock and roll spirit alive with her music, live shows and now, Joan Jett's Radio Revolution on SIRIUS Satellite Radio. She has also influenced and inspired many a little girl and boy to pick up a guitar and rock like: Kathleen Hanna, The Donnas, The Germs, Fefe Dobson, Juliette Lewis and the Licks, Courtney Love, L7 and Guitar Wolf, just to name a few. I Love Rock 'n' Roll was selected by the RIAA and the National Endowment for the Arts for the Songs of the Century list. This women so deserves to be in the hall of fame, for not only forming the first all girl rock band. Also when I think of Rock and Roll I think of Joan Jett!! While alot of musicians have forgotten what it means to rock..... Joan Jett is a prime example of what a TRUE ROCK star is all about, her never ending contributions to charitys and the troops should be an inspritation to everyone and she still's touring and kicking MAJOR ASS...if you have never had the pleasure of seeing her live your owe it to yourself to see this true LIVING LEGEND!!!!! Joan Jett so deserves to be in the rock hall of fame. She has been through so much and broken down so many walls to get where she is today. She is such a great person. She was one of the first that proved women could rock!! She is my idol and i couldnt think of a more deserving person.

Joan Jett is simply an extraordinary person on and off the stage. She has given her entire adult life to Rock and Roll and helping other people who are less fortunate than her. She is a true living legend and rock icon. No one deserves the honor of being inducted more than she does.

Joan Jett was the female breaking untouched rock ground for women musicians. Through bad and good, she never quit or walked off a stage when things weren't perfect. A true entertainer.

I certainly dont dislike Joan Jett but she has'nt done anything special to warrant HOF induction.
