The coffee was good, but not worth the high price. The coffee maker for two that I got with a free offer is good, the only problem is - the filters they sold me don't fit! I cancelled the delivery.

We enjoyed their coffees while we were on their plans, and never had problems other than a broken coffee carafe in our initial shipment. Only problem was the prices were getting too high.

Gevalia Coffee is just average when compared to real cafe coffees such as Seattle's Best Coffee or Starbucks. Even with all the comments abouts Starbucks being overroasted, that's really a style many like and not really true. Try SBC Henry's Blend and see for yourself. The free pots are nice but a gimmick, and the customer service I've experienced is unfriendly and awful in terms of knowing products or making recommendations, even answering the call quickly.

1. I was fully aware of the payment plan and delivery system. 2. The sign-up merchadise was inferior quality and useless. 3. The coffee was good. 4. Shipments were eratic. 5. I cancelled my account, paid for what I had used and returned unopened future shipments. 6. I still get bills for shipments I either rejected or returned. A SAD WAY TO COMPETE FOR OUR BUSINESS!

I love Gevalia's coffee. However I never got my shipments when I was supposed to. Their bills would have a pay by date. If you had a shipment to go out before the bill was due they would hold it.They could never give me a definite ship date. If anyone out there has another source for their coffee please let me know.I will never buy directly from them again!

I have been getting Gevalia for 12 years and I and my husband and family and friends love the coffee. The only thing that I don't like is that I have spent over 50.00 dollars every 4 weeks with these people and not one time have they sent me anything 4 being so loyal to them...(sorry) except for a little pouch of coffee that noone wants....But 4 the new people they r now giving them a 12 cup coffee maker and a cup...WHAT IS UP WITH THIS CRAP!!!!!! Let me know that u appreciate me some times or I will switch you like I did the phone company(say bye to BELLSOUTH and hello BIRCH)

I agree fully with what allie_cat2001 said regarding Gevalia. If people would just read EVERYTHING that is sent with the literature then they certainly wouldn't have problems or took the time to call and inquire with one of the really helpful agents that are always available 24/7 this would be alot better. I myself am an employee with Gevalia and deal with customers on a daily bases and I ALWAYS and I stress ALWAYS make sure that I inform the customer exactally how our program works and that at anytime they are in full control of their account in how they would like to have it set up. Also when placing an order weither it be via the phone or the internet ALL companies ask for a Credit Card number in order to place the order and if you are joining a membership once your credit card is entered into the system then that is the card that will be charged for FUTURE shipments UNLESS YOU(the customer take your credit card out of the system and be billed) Also I let the customer know that at any time they can cancel by just CALLING one of us to do this for them. At NO time in our program do we mislead our customers and we at Gevalia take great pride in helping the customer with their coffee or tea orders and to better suite their needs and what works better for them. I have been with Gevalia for some time now and I enjoy being able to help the customers and inform them of everything that goes on with their program, I as a consumer like you would certainly not want to be mislead into something so I therefore would not want to give you the customer the wrong information. We go through extensive training for Gevalia and if Gevalia feels that the agent is not suited for the floor at that time they work with us until such time we are ready. I think that what erks me the most is when someone puts Gevalia down and accuses us the AGENTS of not informing the customer about how the program works or that we charged their credit card without their authorization. Well it is not against the law if the customer has given their credit card in the first place we ALWAYS inform them that future shipments will AUTOMATICALLY be billed unless YOU call us to change your method of payment to a BILL ME!!!! I find that there are people out there who try to enroll SEVERAL times even though they are WELL aware that there is only one enrollment PER household so what do they go and do they reword their name or change their address a bit so that they end up with SEVERAL new FREE coffee makers and then have the nerve to call in and say that they never received their intro order and blast us the agents for not doing our work. When that customer calls and we put in the information to bring up their accounts we see more then one name at that address and THEY deny it. I think that we at GEVALIA give the customer 110% statisfaction and go above and beyond what most companies would do. We are always there for the customer and do whatever is humanly possible. On an overall note Gevalia is a very good company to be involved with and has been around for over 150 years and in United States over 25 years so we are not a fly by night company. If you would like to know more about Gevalia and how OUR program works go to our website and read the information before you JUMP the GUN.

I work for Gevalia and I wish for one minute the customers would put themselves in our shoes. We DO offer great customer service and we DO advise customers of ALL the so-called 'rules'. But sadly, a great majority of the callers see 'FREE' and don't pay any attention after that. Point in case, I enrolled a lady, six weeks later she called back and ironically, I got her again, she wanted to cancel, said we did not tell here about future shipments, etc...well, excuse me ma'am but I am the one who enrolled you in the programme, so don't call me and lie, admit you just wanted the free coffeemaker, I'd rather you do that than tell me I mislead you! In fact, I personally have given people replacements carafes, mugs, coffee, etc. even when a person has a cancelled account....so please Gevalia customers, don't insult our intelligence by saying you weren't aware of this or that or we are ripping you off...you WERE made aware of everything..what did you think that booklet was in your shipment...the TV Guide?!?!

To the Gevalia naysayers..READ THE FINE PRINT!!Gevalia holds no secrets from its customers. Everything is in the FINE PRINT. It tells you that future shipments will follow, credit cards will be charged for future shipments etc. You can customize your account by setting your own shipping intervals, making product changes, changing your method of payment such as removing your credit card and being billed. It's all in the fine print folks. Customers need to take responsibility by doing their research, and research in this case is as simple as reading past the FREE COFFEE MAKER with your order of coffee for $14.95!! Gevalia has won many awards for being number 1 in customer care. They have been around since 1883 and it is their excellence in customer care that has kept them successful for 150 years. With over 4 million members and growing they continue to lead in the customer service industry. You the consumer need to take responsibility for what you get involved in by reading everything from start to finish. Gevalia customer care agents are always happy to indulge you anytime you have any questions as well. As the previous writer said. How much better can it get.

i think if everybody that ordered gevalia would just read the literature before placing order they would ahve a better understanding of how the programs worked.also gevalia is very customer realted and would do anything to please the customers all you have to do is ask how much better could it be?

My mother gets these coffees for me. The breakfast blends are especially good! I think they are well worth the money.

These people keep sending stuff to our house, just because my wife ordered something from them YEARS ago. And of course, it shows up on my credit card. You can't get rid of these guys. I don't even drink coffee, and neither does my wife, so I don't know how they ever coaxed her into ordering that first item to start with.

I have (briefly) enjoyed my coffee from Gevalia. I believe that is important for future purveyors realize that I personally am experiencing difficulty with ceasing automatic debit from my bank account by Gevalia. I requested that they stop sending me coffee after three orders - but they continue to debit my account and have ignored my letters! BUYERS BEWARE!!!!

A good smoothe coffee. But Ho-hum, could be better. .....

Delicious coffee! Particulary the Mocca Java, Costa Rica Peaberry and the European offerings like Cafe Sperl. Yes - compared to grocery store coffees, this is expensive, but try comparing the price of one pot to a nice bottle of wine, then do the math and see how many pots you get out of a 1/2 lb bag. I say the taste is worth it!! Still cheaper than those overpriced per-cup Starbucks offerings - IF you can figure out how to order them! :-)

Gevalia is by far a great tasting coffee. Although I wouldn't drink this coffee on a daily basis due to the cost, it is a nice treat for the weekend or a special occassion.

Gevalia is really good, however is a bit pricey. You can get a lot of free gifts (coffee grinders, coffee mugs and canisters) however, you can get stuck ordering more than you need. Most people I know who have ordered Gevalia, order it, get some coffee and free gifts, then cancel.
