 | Randyman (114) 05/07/2005 | One of my favorite breakfast foods, but it can be eaten anytime. Machaca was originally made from jerky that was cooked, softened and mixed with peppers, onions and tomatoes. Now it is usually made from shredded pot roast and cooked until the meat becomes crisp. It becomes soft when the other ingredients are added. If you haven't tried it I recommend this. But like everything else some people do a lousy job, so pick your restaurants wisely (which you should do anyway).
