Generic rum

My brother occasionally takes suspicious, all expense paid trips to Jamaica, and on a recent one, he brought me back a bottle of Appleton's.

Historically, my two favorite rums have been Havana Club and Flor de Cana. Appleton's is every bit as good as both of those brands.

This is an excellent rum with a light, crisp flavor and a very pleasent aftertaste that goes down real smooth. Probably the best Jamaican rum on the market, and right up there with Don Q, overall, if you ask me. I've yet to mix it with anything because it seems like a waste. It is good enough by itself.

Great body and flavor on the 12 year old. 21 year old?! Wow. I gotta get me some o' that!

I brought back a bottle of the 18 year old Appleton EXTRA and a bottle of the Appleton 21 Year Old. Let me tell you this stuff is phenomenal. I have yet to opent the 21 year old because I am saving it for a special occasion, however, the 18 year old EXTRA is outstanding and tastes similar to a fine cognac. The finish on the EXTRA lasts for a long long time - an hour or tow. no exaggeration

A rum fit for a pirate to drink. Or an Irishman, for that matter.

The 12 year old is the finest rum I've ever tasted. But don't waste it in a mixed drink, stick with Bacardi for that. This stuff is just too good straight!

Honeymooned in Jamaica and became addicted to this stuff. Very smooth straight or mixed. I prefer the 12-year straight.

Appleton's has a different taste than other rums because it is produced in oak barrels. Combines well with Coke, ice and a lemon slice. It's Jamaican spirit. Also comes in a special bottle of 12 years.

I think this rum is very tasty. It has the exact percentage of alcohol a good rum needs. It is great to drink with Coke. It doesn't make you sick like lower quality rums. It has a very interesting gold color. It is the best rum I've tasted.

Not a rum fan myself but if I gotta drink it this seems to be a pretty good choice

This is the definitive Jamacian rum.

Appleton is the best, because it strong, but sweet and taste great with coke. And its from Jamaica.
