Korbel Brut is a bit too dry for my liking. Sure, the price is decent, but the drink should be as well. There are plenty other cost saving champagnes out there that are not Korbel. This drink reminds me of the 1980s since my parents would drink it on occasion.

Try Domaine St Michelle Blanc de Noirs, instead. You'll be glad you did.

When I was younger, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference, but nowadays I just think Korbel Brut is too sweet. Even the Extra Dry Korbel bottles tend to be a lot sweeter than French champagne. I think it is just because of the California grapes being natural sweeter than the French grapes.

Hopefully, I just got a bad bottle. If the one I had is representative, this crap could gag a maggot. Couldn't even make a decent mimosa with it. Finally ended up diluting it with diet Sprite to make it drinkable.

For sparkling wine, it isn't bad. Why, I could drink it all day, darling!

A good sparkeling wine (champange) especially the extra dry which is not that hard to find. At around $12 to $14 a bottle this is a great champange for large parties and quite evenings at home. In my opinion the best california champagne under $15. Great for weddings and aniversary parties where price is an issue. I would recommend steping up to Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label for smaller gatherings under 8 people if you can find it around $25 or Gloria Ferrer for around $18 to $20.

I'm not a regular champagne drinker, but I have sampled my share. You can't beat Korbel Brut. It's light, crisp and refreshing - an excellent way to celebrate any occassion. The bonus is that it's very affordable.

This is a very good lower-priced methode champagne, an all purpose number that drinks well. Better than this is the Korbel Extra Dry, which is usually hard to find.

On the recommendation of a few of you, I tried this sparkling wine over the holidays and was very pleased! Thank you!!!

As an any occasion, won't break the bank sparkling wine you will have to search pretty hard to beat it! This is one of the less expensive sparkling wines I'll serve to friends with confidence.

I'm surprised this champagne isn't rated higher. It is very satisfactory. Not too sweet, with just the right effervescence. And you never get a hangover drinking this champagne. I enjoyed three and a half glasses this evening.

Well, let met just push my way through the Vanderbilts and the Rockefellers and say this about that; I've had $100 per bottle champagne and I've had $15 per bottle stuff and yes - uncool as this sounds - have actually enjoyed both! From my experience, Korbel Brut is one of the best of the less expensive variety. It's tasty, bubbly and especially good with strawberries (frozen ones are excellent - they stay cold as they soak up the liquid). The best part is, you don't have to take out a small loan to enjoy a glass or two. So, while I might splurge for Dom or Perrier-Jouet for very special times (weddings and anniversaries, etc.) for most other times, Korbel Brut fits the bill just fine - not to mention it's also much kinder to my bank account. Cheers!

Instead of being the official "Champagne of the Millenium", they should make it the official "Champagne for anyone who doesn't give a crap about what they drink". Mad Dog 20/20 tastes better than this stuff.
