Syrupy texture, tastes like sugar was added. Aftertaste gets to you if you've had a few. Results in horrific gas the day after. A much overrated mainstream product. Stick to Guinness.

Great smooth taste, I will get this if the place I am at does not have yuengling lager. I like to drink this somewhat less then ice cold.

Such a good beer. Rivals Newcastle and Bass for best beers in my book. That is assuming that Guiness is in a league of its own!

I thought that even the British avoided this one.

Bass Ale is a rich, full flavored amber beer with a hearty, robust taste with a smooth flavor that is able to sustain it's taste from the first one you have of the evening, down to the last. If you like Budweiser, you probably won't like Bass. When you are ready to graduate to REAL beer, try a Bass.

Bass is goooood sh*t. Cant belive its from 1777 and I just discovered it. Too busy drinking Duvel and Belgium, I guess.

Can't stomach this stuff. Newcastle is ten times better than Bass.

A excellent amber ale from the UK. I think they brew it with just the right combo of hops and grains. I can drink Bass all night if I have to.

A nice, well balanced beer that's a bit more tasty than many of the other popular ales, although Shepherds Neame beers are nicer. Shame there aren't more ales and bitters from the UK on the list.

A flat out tasty beer. Bass played an important role in my alcohol education as the first beer that I ever had that didn't taste like crap (granted I had only had Busch, Lite, and Iron City). I will always have a fondness for Bass Ale, and am disappointed that it doesn't seem to be getting distributed as thoroughly as it used to be.

Bass Ale is still one of the best. If there's ever a sure bet in a bar or restaurant it's Bass. Well balanced, nice body, not too heavy and great for nice easy drinking. Excellent beer.

I had the pleasure of trying Bass for the first time on the Voyager of the Seas (Royal Carribean International cruise ship) last week and I found my new beer. It was served to me in a pint - the color and flavor were just great. I highly recommend this beer to anyone looking for a good drink.

Bass Ale is the best beer on the market today.

On the heels of Guiness, Bass has to hold the number two slot...how else can you enjoy the slick/thick and tart Black & Tan.

A great ale that MUST be poured into a glass to enjoy its fullest flavor.

The beer is good, but the bottles it comes in are great. I buy beer based mostly on packaging, and Bass wins hands down.
