 | Mad Hatter (37) 09/26/2005 | The only QB to help get the Cardinals to the Playoffs since there move to Arizona.

 | numbah16tdhaha (152) 09/26/2005 | I'll give a five in the context of pulling the only winning season and playoff win in the covered period. Nobody else came close. TO CHIA: I could care less what you think of Brian Griese or what Jake has done in Denver. Rate Jake in the context of his Cardinal years or I'll drop the axe on your comment. Its the revoling door at QB list and its looking for something VERY SPECIFIC.

 | Chia (0) 09/19/2005 | When the Broncos let Brian Griese go, they stated pretty boldly that they were excited about Jake Plummer's scrambling ability. Why?
1) Brian Griese was an all-pro in 2000. But late in his Denver career, teams found that supplying pressure to this pocket style QB was very effective in killing the Broncos passing game. Not noted often was the fact that other teams were successful in supplying this pressure largely because the Offensive line had retired long time great Mark Schlereth, and suffered a couple of other injuries.
2) Rather than revamping the offensive line, Denver chose to move in the direction of a mobile QB. There were many other alternate reasons for the move. Griese had fallen out of favor with the Broncos faithful. Additionally, his ability the lead the offense (let alone the team) was null.
Jake Plummer's scrabling ability has been a dismal disaster in Denver. He has been sacked far to often, when he has run, it has been East and West followed by a throw directly to the other teams defenders. The Denver offense has some weapons which are not being utilized because Plummer does not pickup the quick reads. I give Plummer a rating of Terrible!
It is my hope that the Broncos will make a move in this next years draft to get a Vince Young or Matt Leinart. I can handle mediocrity from a rookie QB. I can not stand anymore mediocre play from a 9 year vetran to the NFL.

 | zuchinibut (38) 05/18/2005 | Jake Plummer actually got the Cardinals to the playoffs. When was the last time anybody else did this? Not to mention he was great at ASU. Jake Plummer gets more criticism than he deserves.

 | asskickingboots (17) 05/18/2005 | This guy has been an interception throwing machine his whole career. His personality bites too. I don't consider flipping off fans on national tv the brightest idea. The only real upside to him is that he's a decent scrambler, but not enough to change games in his favor. I hate this guy and especially how some think he's one of the best in the league. Denver wins games with it's defense and rushing attack. Believe me, I know, I'm a Chiefs fan. Plummer sucks. I'd also like to clarify that gameplaywise he's a 2, maybe even a 3. However, after I factor in his bad attitude and lack of leadership, he has to be a 1.

 | irishgit (146) 05/18/2005 | There are worse pivots (a lot of them on this list LOL). Interception rate is frightening and largely offsets his ability to get out of trouble with his legs. Not utterly horrible, but pretty damn bad.
