Husky long cut mint is my favorite chew every. Skoal is for pussies... thats my viewpoint.
deerslayer722 03/12/2007
I dont know why no one likes it. I think its good and u cant beat it for a buck.
tusvm 03/10/2007
15 year skoal man. Had a buddy tell me to try the fine cut wintergreen. Maybe a little difference in taste, but hell for the money you save you can't beat it. I wouldn't be surprised that is was the tobacco on the bottom of the skoal barrels???
lowfatcracker 02/15/2007
Husky long cut straight would be a good stepping stone toworads quitting; it has very little effect and less flavor. Maybe good for beginners as well?
HuskyJim 02/11/2007
Honestly I am glad not many people like Husky. Just means there will be more for those of us who do enjoy it. Big tobacco needs you guys who like to pay $4-$5 a can. This way they can dump more profit into their pockets, and sponsor more race cars and race events. Hell we all make out when you spend more than $2 for a can of dip! So thanks!

Personally, this stuff is horriable. It is probably swept up in the stadiums after baseball games. Husky (made by US Smokeless Tobacco, same as Skoal, Rooster, Cope, etc) is dry, and has little flavor. The only decent flavor would be Fine Cut Natural. But for 98 cents a can, thats what ya get...
digdipper34 02/06/2007
This type of brand is not the best on the market. I had bought a can becuase i was short on money. It wasn't worth it bad tasting and the cut is inconsistant. The only thing good about is it is just low priced.
Jrobyoungdippe r03 02/01/2007
Husky is a pretty good dip...the flavor runs good and it packs real good...Wintergreen is the only kind ive had of this brand but i like it and its cheap.

5=Great Husky Natualal Flavor Long or fine cut is the best snuff at the right price on the market today in Lubbock Tx. I've dipped snuff for years. I found a new one (HUSKY)blue eyes! Love It....I also like free stuff! A new but old founder of HUSKY:THX.Wayman triplews@hotmail.com OR triplews@windstream.net JUST A GOOD OL TX BOY!
metaldipjunkie 89 12/30/2006
this is definately not a good dip. it feels like you are dipping moist cigarette tobacco. save your money.
OskarSmith 12/29/2006
I was PRAYING that Husky would be ok to chew because me and my wife just had another kid and I promised to help save money. HELL NO! Husky sucks bigtime. Even poor folk gotta raise their standards. This stuff MUST be everything that doesn't make it into a can of Hawken. HOWEVER, if you MUST chew this crap, take a teaspoon of Jack Daniels and put it in the tin. Shake up and let set over night. Makes it bearable ;-)

Ive been chewing Copenhagen Long Cut since it was first introduced. I recently tried Husky Natural flavor long cut and found it to be considerably close to the Copenhagen. The deal sealer for me is its very cheap price. I am done with paying almost $10.00 for 2 cans. Im getting almost 10 cans of Husky for the same price.
joker123408 12/01/2006
Husky has changed its fine cut natural can and I think it looks pretty sweet!!!
LittleDipper15 11/14/2006
love it just started chewin can a day love it all i can say
goodolboy 09/27/2006
Husky is not my favorite dip but it is cheap. I can get it for $1.12 a tin and Skoal is $5.22. It is not as good as skoal or Red Seal but it is still good for the price. And yes it is made by the same company that makes skoal and cope, but that doesn't make it the same, as some other reviewers have stated. That is like saying a A Ford ranger and a F-350 is the same thing.
Copenhagenjunk ie 08/26/2006
AS a long time(Over 20 years) copenhagen user, I decided to check out some cheaper alternatives. Most of the cheaper snuff did not come close to copenhagen, except for Husky. I like both the L/C straight and natural flavors. And as far as the price, Husky can't be beat.
mohr07 08/12/2006
I think Husky this very comparable to Cope. The only difference is its a little longer cut than Cope fine cut, and theres a little bit difference in taste. Plus its about 4 dollars cheaper than Cope. I chew it everyday. Anyone who doesnt think so, doesnt know what there talking about. And most of the people that dont like it chew some pussy snuff like mint or wintergreen. There is no better snuff than Husky for the price.
grizzlyadams 06/21/2006
for a long cut wintergreen i thought it was fine cut i was very disapointed and even though its really cheap it aint worth it
THEDAVE 05/10/2006
This is the best alternative to Cope around. I have tried several brands when I am too broke for Cope and this is the only brand I will use when I have enough for Cope.
IdahoJoe 04/26/2006
There's a much bigger difference in price than flavor between their Natural Fine Cut and Copenhagen - I'll never by Cope again. Sounds like the same might not be true for the kids flavors, though, like mint and cherry and all that. Those are all gross to me, so I'm no judge.
Cratios 04/05/2006
Ok ive tried just about everything (actually just baught some kayak lc wintergreen today) and this has been the worst. if you aint got enough money to buy skoal or cope then buy grizzly. this husky crap was sooooo nasty and dry. I don't know if its because it doesnt sell well here or what. I definatly dont recommend this stuff to anyone. LONG LIVE GRIZZLY MINT
Bige1371 03/18/2006
You cant beat it for the price. Way better than timberwolf and the other cheap brands. Why pay $5.50 for a can of Skoal?
Jilky 12/26/2005
Husky is the best alternative to Cope I've put in my mouth. It's true.... it's all psychological.
sneeze14 12/14/2005
husky is so bad i nicknamed it upchusky. you know its bad when you cant even pay someone to take it. so screw all you people who like it i would rather take a dip of dirt. try some kodiak
Dawgs 12/06/2005
Not that good at all. Dont waste your money.
Thenochewman 12/06/2005
I hate it, for wussies who like the cheap stuff.
thechewmasterh olic 12/05/2005
Cheap, terrible flavor, get more chew for the price if you want to chew it. Doubt you will
william little 10/25/2005
ITs great just like skoal
DRUG 10/25/2005
husky is the worst of the worst besides hawken. i've noticed all the cheap stuff packs great, but isnt quite as good as skoal. yeah this stuff dried my mouth out and wasnt really that flavorful. it did give you a buzzzzzzzzzz like no other, thanks to the high fiberglass content.
Christensenben 10/17/2005
I love husky. It taste the same as skoal in my opion.I love the price cause i can afford it.
JAYLOUDER 10/06/2005
I HAD A FRIEND THAT HAD SOME AND ASKED IF I HAD TRYED IT. I WAS IMPRESSED. I THINK THAT IT IS BETER THAN RED SEAL. NO IT DOESNT COMPARE TO COPHENHAGEN, BUT I AM NOT SPENDING $5 A DAY FOR SNUFF ANYMORE.
jemahonzeo 09/10/2005
I just purchased a can of Husky L/C Straight and it tastes horrible! I was always a Copenhagen fan until the prices went sky high. I switched to Kayak L/C Staight last year and liked it a lot. There was a promotion on an online retailer for $1.75/5 can roll at the time and I bought as much as I could. It now sells for $7.25/5 can roll so I figured I would try Husky at $4.75/5 can roll. Man am I glad I bought only 1 tin at a local market to try it out because I would have been stuck with a lot of this junk. I'm either going to stick with the Kayak and pay a little more or go with Grizzly, Longhorn, or Timberwolf which are just as good as the Kayak but a bit cheaper. It is a shame that USTC put out such a lousy product in order to compete with the other generic brands.

I foung this by accident. I was getting bored with Skoal i went through 2 sleeves of peach in just over a week. about a tin and a pinch a day (normally i get about 6-8 lips a tin) and as good as it tasted i needed a change. I saw husky wintergreen out of the corner of my eye and said id get a tin of that. 4.15 a hell of a lot cheaper than skoal at the place i buy it 8.70 a tin unless i buy sleeves then its 7.50 a tin. yes...expensive...but i wont buy anywhere else because i love the people that own the store. upon opening the tin it was a good wintergreen smell...like gum..wolf and a few other wintergreens smell like windex when u open the tin. it breaks up a little during the pack and breaks up a bit mid spit. cuts your gums good...first buzz ive got in almost 6 monthsgives a good amount of spit...but not too much that if your talking to someone your covering them in sweet tobacco juice. plus...the lid is bad ass...huskys kick ass. Husky gets a 4 because of its bad assness and loses that last start due to the mess of the pack grizz and skoal (minus peach) have easier packs. but its cheap and gets the job done...im all for husky
