When child molesters are caught, almost invariably many victims come forward to say, "Hey, he did it to me too."None came forward when Jackson was accused by a mother with a history of trying to make money from celebrities. Now, I'm not saying there's absolutely no chance he might have been guilty of something or other, but convicting him on the flimsy 'evidence' presented is impossible for any thinking person. In fact, had he not been extremely rich and famous, I doubt he'd ever have been accused of anything other than being weird.UPDATE:That he achieved such fame and fortune with rather minimum talent could be considered deplorable, but then again there's the Jonas Brothers.

He was a freak from the planet spooky!

In my opinion there have been and continue to be many Americans who are far more deplorable than this pathetically self-destructive person. That being said, this guy was pretty far from admirable, unless one belongs to the legion of folks who apparently believe that death negates criticism.

Scene - Middle 1990's - A non-descript middle class suburban living room in Nebraska. Late 30's-ish man in shirt and tie (loosened) sitting on easy chair watching television. A telephone rings.Voice: from the other room: Could you grab that honey? My hands are all wet from washing the dishes.Father: Hello.... Yes we do, he's 8 years old..... Yes he's heard of Michael Jackson.... I suppose he's a fan, yes. Why do you ask?....(longer pause while voice on the other end describes details of offer - Father looks thoughtful as he listens) Father: Just a second I'd like to speak to my wife. (covers receiver in his chest and yells to the next room) Father: Honey! There's someone on the phone claiming to be a representative of the King of Pop and he'd like to know if he could send a limousine over to pick up Skyler to go to his ranch - Disneyland or something like that, for a sleepover. Are you OK with that?.......

I never thought that Mike was that deplorable. As I stated before, he and I worked in the shipyards at Portsmouth and at Bath, Maine. He was a pretty good guy when he was sober. Maybe some people are remembering that little incident at Mamie's knocking shop down in Manchester. I don't know if that would make you deplorable, however.

Not surprisingly, before his death all but one person rated him deplorable. After his death no one did. I always maintained, that while I never knew for sure whether or not he raped those kids, I think the parents of those children who stayed at his house after the allegations were made should really re-examine their values. If nothing else, Michael Jackson was tragic and creepy. I think if he was anybody else (who was lucky) he would have undergone extensive psychiatric help. Unfortunately he lived out his last decade and a half despised, overindulged and in a bubble. Greedy doctors mutilated his face to the point where his nose fell off. And why wouldn't they? Who was going to say no?Other greedy doctors may have loaded him up with drugs. They same as they did with Elvis and countless others. And why not? Here is a man who's every turn cried out for help, and everyone in his circle aided him, gave him everything he wanted. What they did not give him was the help he needed. Deplorable? Depends on who you askTragic? without a doubt. And now his journey has ended here. And all that is left are the hollow platitudes of those who never really knew him.

never hated him.

I was sorry/shocked to hear of his passing. Yes the guy had issues, and did some bad things, but I could never bring myself to hate him.

Update: It's been reported that Michael Jackson has just died. I don't wish bad on anyone, but if he had been anyone other than who he was, he would be dead now in San Quentin rather than a hospital in the free world. Freakish, tormented, highly talented guy-- maybe death was the best thing for him.Hey, I've finally found one I agree with Louise on!

I've always collected eccentrics, but this guy is too freaked-out for me. I kind of draw the line at perversion. I've heard he's moved to Bahrain, and Bahrain can have him.

somebody needs to put this sicko out of his misery. child molestors belong in jail, no matter who they are.
Inmyopinion 07/02/2005
At least he lost all of his money.
ellis 06/28/2005
Absolutely. Just an absolute fool that gives any American a bad name.
PlanetaryGear 06/27/2005
Nothing more deplorable than a chickenhawk child molestor.
Jar-Jar Binks 06/27/2005
He was an innocent man. The one's who put him in court just want to capitalize off his fame and fortune. It's all petty jealousy if you tell me.
