GOPmember76 and irish are correct, too polarizing a figure to be confirmed, serving now as Solicitor General. Also at 60, many characterize him as too old. His wife was conservative author/pundit Barbara Olsen, who was killed on 9/11/01, she being a passenger on the jet that crashed into the Pentagon. She was talking to Ted on her cell phone as the jet crashed.

Olson would be a dark horse pick for sure, but he has the experience: solicitor general, and experience litigating before the Court.
