To be eclectic is to draw from various sources,making use of what works and discarding the dross.Often,when people ask me my religion,I tell them I'm an Eclectic.Eclecticism does not only apply to doctrines,however.It can be seen also in some of the best music,art,technology,philosophy and so on.
