A show as simple as this can be explained in a few short phrases: -Sometimes its funny, other times its too stupid for its own good. -It always encourages dangerous and reckless behavior. -you Gotta take it for what its worth. That's about it.

Irresponsible, because it encourages adolescents to act like a**holes, and probably endanger themselves and others. Despite the constant disclaimer, you know kids are going to imitate this. However, having said that, I find myself laughing out loud at times at this swill.

I can honestly say that I used to enjoy this show. The pilot (first episode) and a few dozen after that was hilarious, but after that it got so crude and offensive I couldn't watch it anymore. I would give the show on MTV 4 stars. BUT, I give the movie 1 star so -- 2 stars seems just nice.

Jackass I believe is titled for the folks that watch this crap. It is mindless self abuse while letting an audiance watch while they embarrass themselves. It also appears to inspire other asses to copy the acts of stupidity. If I want to see people make an ass of themselves, I will just watch C-Span.

Is it supposed to be funny?

When brilliant shows like Tokyo Pig get cancelled, and shows like this run multiple season, I begin to wonder if television is indeed a vast wasteland. Of course MTV (Many Terrifying Visions) is no longer known for music--but the worst reality shows imaginable. The stunts in this show are not only dangerous, they only go to show that the Johnny Knoxville has less than one brain cell. There's also profanity and breaking the law. Terrible, awful stuff.

Loved the show. The DVDs do not have all of the skits and stunts and MTV does not reair all the episodes because of legal concerns, which is too bad. To me, it seems like you either love or hate the show. There is not much middle ground. One person's opinion of comedy would be considered silly or stupid by another and vice versa. CKY, I think, is better. Then again, it is one man's opinion.

Everytime I attempt to watch this show, I get dizzy and I just can't do it. Some of the stuff they do on this show looks just too painful for me to watch. If I could actually view the show without problems, I might like it, that is why it got 2 stars instead of one.

This is one that is not for the weak stomached or the easily offended. I like it, but not all people can handle it or get it. It's male adolesent playtime picked up a couple of notches. As far as rather or not they are homos, I haven't formed a solid opinion on that one yet, They are into poo and sticking things in their butts and being naked and pissing on each other (but not being pissed on) but they also may just be really comfortable with their masculinity... I could see my fiancee and his friends doing some of the same stuff if they had a video camera then but not the butt stuff. I would have rated this as excellent but i seen the CKY videos and they are the orignal jackasses, Jonny Knoxville was not included, but Rabb and Bam were, and it was funnier and seemed more spontanous without Jonny Knoxville, so this one is just good and not excellent. If you want to see the original CKY movies, just look them up on the net, they are downloadable.
