This just might be worse than being a Chuck E. Cheese customer.

I knew a girl in college who actually did this. . .her stories of what parents let their kids get away with sent chills down my spine and I make sure my brood will never, ever get away with behavior like that in public. . .

 who cares how hot it gets in the costume,my problem would be keeping myself from slapping down the bad children,little kids seem to love this place,give them sugar,pizza,and a rat in a costume  and they go crazy.

I get nervoud around large groups of screaming children, I honestly don't know how he/she does it all day.

I have seen first hand what some of these folks have to go through due to the nature of the job. I agree with my friend Molfan that this position is usually filled by teenagers and those who are of college age and in one regard I think it is a great job for them. Spending one summer working as the Chuck E Cheese rat is almost a sure fire guarantee that they will think very carefully before engaging in sex. It may possibly lead to total abstinence until marriage and even then they may wait until the second year. If however, they become or remain sexually active, their job as a Chuck E Cheese rat will be all the reminder needed to use effective birth control.

there are worse jobs. and at least it is a job. mostly for teenagers and college kids who need some money. i feel some sympathy for them. I can barely tolerate being in that very crowded loud environment. cannot be too much "fun" being in a hot costume surrounded by sometimes obnoxious children yanking on them.

I remember hiding underneath the table from this guy at my birthday party as a child.

I love kids... I love chocolate... Have too much chocolate at once, and you'll get sick. Too many kids at once, it will do the same. All it takes is one undisciplined child in a group to make it a living hell. Now, imagine being in that living hell wearing a rat suit and not even making minimum wage.
