Jar-Jar Binks 07/28/2005
Time and again, The Big Fella had to bail his team out with his excellent jump shooting. I've been to many Knick games and he usually stepped it up a notch down the stretch. In a regular season game against Orlando, he hit the game-winning clutch shot against Shaq and in Game 5 of the 1995 Semifinals against Indiana, his game-winning floater extended the series. Yes, he did miss that finger-roll drive against the Pacers in that same series. It broke my heart, but Ewing ranks as one of the best clutch shooters in NBA history.

Knicks fans remember Ewing's missed finger roll vs Indiana ( or was it Houston?) in a big Playoff game. Not being a Knick fan, I dont recall any clutch shots of significance he made.

Knick fans probably also remember how he was always hitting that fadeaway from the corner late in games. And often, at the end of the game to win it. I think they would've been the team of the 90's if not for MJ. But yeah, Ewing was great in the clutch. One missed shot you might recall vivdly (and I remember that too), does not mean he's not clutch. That's unfair. It's like that shot Carter missed against Philly in game 7 that got him labeled a choker. Nobody remembers all the game winners he hits or the 37 points he had in that game, which, without, the Raptors would not have even been in a position to win with a last shot in the first place. That's unfair, Ewing was the man in the clutch.
