this is an expertly crafted picture. ridley scott's second feature film one of my personal favorites, an intellectual sci-fi/horror movie that is way ahead of its time. it's hard to make this kind of science fiction believable, but alien covers its bases. the setting fits as well,giving a claustrophobic feeling inside the spaceship nostromo that makes the movie that much more tense. the second film is different in a lot of ways, but mantains and improves in my opinion the score set by alien. don't waste your time on the other two however.
