Wikis 3

I like the concept of a Wiki, I really do. The idea that anyone can go in and edit a Web page on the fly is compelling. And there are all sorts of useful applications - Wikipedia and Upcoming.org are just two examples. That being said, the Wiki has a long way before it goes mainstream - at least from a publishing perspective. For example, there is no way in hell that my mother is going to be able to edit a web page that requires her copying and pasting html tags. It's just not going to happen, and my mom's a bright lady who is on the Internet just about everyday.
