Well...even though I support Kerry, it is hard to argue against this one. He is stiff. But that doesn't matter if he improves things for the American people.

I thought Kerry did a pretty good job last night at the convention. Under tremendous pressure to show a little charisma, he stepped up with his best speech to date (from what I've seen). It helped that he got a phenomenal lead in from the Kerryshank Redemption film and his camera-friendly daughters, but to his credit, he brought his A game. Finally, Kerry's handlers are doing a fantastic job - no mistakes from this campaign, like we saw from Gore's. This one's going down to the wire...

Yes, Kerry makes the Democrats yearn for Al Gore's charisma. I think that patrician stiff upper lip that he has is really keeping Kerry from connecting with the average voter. Americans have elected many elitists to the Presidency, but they have to know that they're at least paying attention to their concerns. The perception that Kerry is a rich stiff is going to hurt him in the election; indeed it will probably be why he loses.
