I am a big Sci-Fi/ Fantasy fan, and the cancellation of this show is one of the biggest mistakes in media history. Firefly is a well rounded and very enjoyable show. It forced its way into an overcrowded and tired genre and completely redefined it. It set the bar way high with great effects, acting, awesome writing, and a tremendous diversity of style. It was much more than the usual bunch of folks flying around in a clean and well-armed ship encountering vortexes, aliens, dimensional gates, etc. I would highly recommend this show to anyone.

They cancelled this gem so they could run 200 movies with the same plot, different monster. What were they thinking?

Great show. A different style of Sci-Fi. Mixture of Sci-fi and a Western.

I never really liked the show or the concept, but it did have a very good cast.

Firefly was amazing. Best thing Joss Whedon ever did, and that's saying something. It's a shame it didn't get the credit it deserved.

Give me a break!!! This show was so incredibly boring it was rediculous, I could barely stand to watch it. Good riddance.

The show was brilliant. Why didn't I hear about it until after it was off the air? Update: Heard that it was poorly marketed, that the execs refused to air the pilot in its entirety, and refused to air the programs in order, confusing the story. Don't know if this accounts for the show's early demise, but it couldn't have helped.

Hmmm... well-written, well-acted, BELIEVEABLE sci-fi. No wonder it got yanked! It was just too intelligent for America. And suprise, it started on Fox. Fox sucks.
