08/20/2005 |  Okay here's the deal with this guy: he's one of the best pass rushers in football when healthy. Probably the fastest d-end in the league. A three time All-Pro in four seasons. He use to be one of my favorite players but now I hate his freaking guts and hope the Jets trade him. He is presently in a contract hold out situation where the Jets have labelled him their franchise player and guaranteeing him a salary of $6.7 million for the season. Baby John however wants a long term deal and refuses to come to camp. This from a guy who hasn't made it through one damn full season as a pro. This from a guy who has missed two divisional playoff games, been suspended for a drunk driving incident and has played in only 70% of the games he's been on the roster. This guy literally bowed out of a PLAYOFF GAME because of a stomach ache! The freaking audacity of these players gets me sick! I'm all for guys making as much as they can and maximizing their contracts if someone is willing to pay. But this bullcrap with holding out when you obliged to play or under contract like TO in Philly is just bull! I wish there was a provision that docked them pay for every day they didn't show and no matter what it would be subtracted from their future earnings.
