Planeshift is a very fun game, but it is also important to keep in mind that it is still in the stages of early development. So there may be times when not all is working quite right, or the server may crash. If you have patience, server stability increases (As of mid-July the server just got updated, so it is more unstable than usual but that is improving daily), and bugs decrease over time. I do believe this is one of the better free games I have played, with a great community. Unlike other MMORPGs you may be familiar with, this one actually emphasises the role-playing aspect, not high levels or powerful equipment (though those are always a plus to have :) ). This game is also cross-platform and can run on Mac, PC, and Linux.

Planshift is a great game. There is much to do. Work, battle,make a guild or join one, make your own weapons, do over 100 amazing quests that enrich the story line or rp to your hearts content. And do it all for free!!! Yes free so if there is a glitch here and there. Ohh well, don't worry the Planshift team is working hard. The team will make your midevil fantasy a great expeiriance by not allowing goofy names and disrespect. They do expect you to stay in charactor or at least try. This adds to the already real feal the game has. Get ready to be amazed by the worlld of Planshift. Hope to see you there! I gave this game a boost because it deserves better:)

For a free game in development status this game is awesome. It is fully playable and has a very rich community. If you're into roleplaying, you HAVE to check this out.

I have to give this game 5 stars because it's a free and OPEN SOURCE MMORPG whos graphics pwn runescape to the floor. I have yet to download the game though. Here is teh site: http://www.planeshift.it/
