Just too much prepared and frozen food.

I have eaten at Appleby's in several states. The restaurants in the North are absolutely terrible. The food is awful, and the service matches. I have eaten at several different ones in the South, and as a whole, were MUCH better. Good service, very good food, though a bit pricey. As with any restaurant chain, it depends on who the owner is, and how highly customer satisfactions rates with them.

Wentto a new location for your restaurant in Bedford, N.H. the staff "jumped" you at the door and were so bored one hostess or waitress was coloring!! The place was not overly busy but we were seated in a booth next to 2 children and their parents who wer not very obnoxious leaning over the seat and generally being pests. We were approached by one waiter and asked him to wait a minute till we looked at the menu while he was gone a young girl approached and tried to take our order Seems there were not enough customers to staff, we were uncomfortable with the children and the extra staff as well as the 3 combo meal deal which is what brought us into the restaurant to start. Disappointed that you did not get to choose your appitizer just dessert. We left without ordering and the staff at the door told us to have a nice evening and to come back this surprised us as we were only in the restaurant about 10 minutes and it was not busy you would think they would have noticed we did not stay and inquire as to the problem wouldn't you?

Good steaks, nice cocktails, and good atmosphere. For a "hokey chain" I seem to enjoy it a lot more then you do, Jimmie. Wonder why that is?

If we want to "eat good in the neighborhood", we go to local restaurants, not these hokey chains, with over priced, frozen microwave food. YUCK!

I was going to give this place 2 stars, but the tv commercials bring it down to 1. Anyone who is influenced by their commercials deserves the wretched food that awaits them here. I would rather eat at a chinese buffet at the risk of getting food poisoning than to eat here. I would rather chew on a dog toy shaped like a sirloin steak than to eat anything this place's menu labels as steak.

Appleby's, like Chili's, have both seen their best days behind them. They are everywhere now and have become ubiquous, there are so many better medium priced chains to eat at now.

Decent marks for food and decent marks for people. Applebee's doesn't seem to discriminate as much in hiring as other restaurants do. It does hire a lot of the preppy white kid crowd, which is annoying, but they do hire a more diverse waitstaff. The worst waitress I've ever had worked for Applebee's in Ann Arbor. She screwed up every order, ours and the table across from me, spilled my drink on me and looked like a raver. She was really cute and nice, so I didn't mind much. But if she was a jerk, I would've complained. The food kinda has a charcoaly, burnt quality here, like at TGIF. It's not for everybody, and I'm not a big fan of this place.

I have only eaten there a few times with out feeling ill. It is expensive and the portions are small. To many other better choices in town.

BAD FOOD + BAD SERVICE = STAY AWAY!

Not very good.I took my cousin there for dinner & although the service was good and the food o.k. it was not worth the bill.I'd advise you NOT to order any liquor there if you don't want to heap up a big bill.

The commercials all look real good, makes you want to go there, but don't be fooled! this is not good eating no matter how desperate you are.

The other night i went and the meal was great. They're desert is also awesome.

I love Applebees!! The one in my neighborhood is always packed. But their birthday singing is annoying.

Of all these neighborhood bar-restaurant-grill-sports bar-confused chains that have opened since Cheers was on tv, I like this one the best. While the food is not world-class or fine dining (and is also not presented or touted as such), their salads are creative and delicious and a lot of their other choices are also excellent and satisfying. Next to Chili's this is one of the better operations out there. Unpretentious, decent service, decent value for dollar, and not trying to constantly be all things to all people. A good, solid choice and definitely worth dropping in on if you are in the neighborhood, but by no means a destination location or spectacular meal.

Great service and the food is pretty good. I like most of the grilled chicken meals and their steak ain't bad.

I really don't like this place, have tried it several times, ordering different things each time, and always disappointed in the food, rubbery chicken, tasteless burgers and soups, not a good meal, would not recommend if you are hungry.

I love Applebee's. I have been going to the Applebee's close to my house for years and have never had a bad experience. We always get excellent service and the food is always delicious!

Applebees is not bad by any stretch of the imagination. The food and service is decent. It's just tat there are oother places i would rather go before having to go here. Not bad, though.

The quality of the food at Applebee's is actually quite good. The atmosphere and the service by the waiters is also good. If you need to eat something for dinner, but don't want to cook, yet want something better then a microwaved burger at McDonalds, try Applebee's. But in can get crowded, so try not to get there after six or seven at night, or you could end up waiting for three hours to get a table and then two to get your food.

Just Okay. Nothing spectacular. Its a nice place to go for a casual lunch or dinner. Like midweek because you don't feel like cooking but you don't like fast food. Then its okay.

I have never been impressed with Applebee's even though I realize and appreciate the limitations of a chain restaurant. The food and menu is uninspiring, and the service is spotty at best and bad at worst. The bottom line is that there are better options than Applebee's in its niche market, namely Chilis and Friday's.

never eaten there but they have locations in some strange places. United Arab Emirates? Japan? Holland? I would have thought McD's would be king but it's a novelty outside of North america, not even considered real food

love the food service can be a bit slow sometimes and food a bit pricey but all in all the taste is worth it

I finally tried an Applebee's. Waste of time and money - I was really disappointed. Steak was passable, but not anything to go back for. Potatoes were soggy and greasy. Service was actually pretty good (the only positive note in the whole experience).

$30 for a dinner for two and not very satisfying.

Perphaps the most tolerable of the slow food franchises, Applebee's has is good parts and bad parts. Their food is excellent, especially their chicken fingers. Their fountain drinks are also of top quality. Also, their service is top-notch, as the waiter will come by almost every minute (!) to check on you, refill your drink, etc. However, I do not like the fact that the have a bar, complete with mindless alcholic beverages. And, the internal design isn't that bad with windows present and a fair level of lighting. In the end, while the food was surprisingly delicious and the service top-notch, Applebee's is missing the little things that make fast food so great: boxes and sacks with logos, creative mascots and advertisements, reusable cups, drive-throughs and bright, colorful interiors.

Better food than Ruby Tuesday's. Can get crowded, so you sometimes have to wait for a seat. Place is decorated cool and service is friendly.

My daughter and several of her team mates experienced a bad case of food poisoning the other night.

MY SISTER AND I ATE AT THE APPLEBEES IN BEDFORD HTS,OHIO ON ROCKSIDE ROAD TODAY,9-25-03. WE HAVE EATEN THERE BEFORE. SERVICE IS USUALLY POOR, BUT TODAY IS THE WORST AND WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. THE MALE THAT BROUGHT OUR FOOD WAS SNOTTY, AND WHEN TOLD HE FORGOT THE SAUCE HE CALLED US "SEETIE" IN A VERY DERAGATORY MANNER, AND WHEN HE CAME BACK WITH THE SAUCE UN QUESTION HE SLAMMED IT ON THE TABLE. WE ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER, WHO APOLOGIZED AND ASKED WHAT HE COULD DO. I TOLD HIM TO FIRE THE CREEP, BUT HE SHOULD NOT HAVE CHARGED US FOR OUR MEAL WHICH WAS RUINED DUE TO AGGRAVATION.I MADE SURE THAT EVERYONE IN THE RESTAURANT HEARD OUR COMMENTS. DISGUSTED IN OHIO, JUDY AND MARYBETH

I never really cared for Applebees, the food just isnt that great of quality. I would say their best thing is the customer service. The wait staff is always plentiful and polite. They just need to improve their menu.

Their food is horrible. I got food poisoning from eating their popcorn shrimp which lasted for six days. I'm thinking about sueing the B*astards. I would not recommend eating here...I know I NEVER will eat at Applebees again!

Went once. A charmless place filled with charmless people going on about their charmless lives.

The food is decent, the prices are alright, and the service is good (at least at the one I frequent)--I never had a problem with them, but I think I'll have to check for random animal heads in my salad next time around . . . . but, overall, it's a decent dining experience.

I personally haven't been there, so I can't comment on the quality and food. However, my parents have been there and have complained of high prices, low quality, and so-so service.

If I was blindfolded and taken to an Applebees, Ruby Tuesday, Chilis or Outback, I'd never be able to tell them apart. same crap, different name. What would set Applebee's apart is their horrible service. If I was still sitting in my booth with my blindfold on for 15 minutes with no server around, I'd know I was in an Applebee's. Also, one of my old roommates got HORRIBLE food poisoning from Applebee's so that always sticks in my mind.

The food's OK but nothing to brag about. But I'm boycotting the one in my town because it has the absolute WORST service I've ever experienced anywhere in my entire life. And I'm not talking about a one time experience. This restaurant is consistently terrible in service.

Applebee's, Chili's, Bennigan's, Ruby Tuesday, Friday's..... Aren't these the same restaurant? It's all the same bland crap.

Now that they use mainly frozen food< the quality of their food has gone down. The servers are usually fairly friendly, but, the managers that I have witnessed are often very rude both to the servers and guests. My family and I as well some other people that Inkow have stopped eating there because of that.

The one applebee's I went to one day decided to not serve me anymore beer's becase the bar tender said she saw me put my head back which I had not done and I called the headquarters to complain and when I went back to the same location I was told I would not be allowed to eat there anymore and that it was because of some drinking incident.

Great steaks, fries, appetizers, and deserts. what else can I say?
