I have to agree with alwayscorrect, even with the rediculus name, but it seems to me that everwhere I look all types of media seem to pick on McCain and Palin. Very few times have they said anything bad about barack and biden. I wish that people would would just report the news and not lean to one side or the other. Be fair to both sides not to a man just because he is black, not to a vice president canidate just because she has a vagina, just be FAIR. One person who pisses me off inparticularly is david letterman. Dave if we wanted your opinion we would ask for it. Stop talking bad about McCain or at least say something about barack. I am sick and tired of people in the media reaming McCain and Palin, especially Palin. They will not leave that woman alone. Some might say that that is all part of politics and she is in the spotlight now. Fine. Dig up a bunch of shit on biden or obama. I know that they arent clean. I just wish they would make things fair and let people decide on their own.

Dear Media, you blow, and you too mr. letterman

Its not that I dont like barack obama, witch I dont, but that the media, celebritys, late night talkshow host, just about everyone finds something wrong with John McCain. All of the media, celebrities are for barack. When ever I see a show and they talk politics or interview McCain they always find faults in everything he does. Some people will say thats because he screws up so much, and that is just not the case. I wish the media would be fair to both parties and not choose sides and just report the news like they are suppose to.

Dear Media, please stop being a bunch of dicks.

Barack Obama stated that he wanted the government to oversee the financial institutions once the bailout had been granted. How niave can this man be? The government can't control their spending or balance their budget, how can they make the finacial institutions better. But some people want to put this man in to run our country at this most critical time.

Why is McCain Afraid to Debate Obama? So exactly why is McCain so afraid to fight back to regain some of that lost standing in the polls? Is it possible that his well established track record as a foe of financial regulation will make it too obvious to voters that he shares responsibility for the mess we're in and can't credibly solve it? Or is he afraid that he'd lose even more ground by debating Obama than he would by suspending his campaign? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I am not aware of a candidate who has received the nomination of his party ever suspending his campaign days before the first debate with his opponent. It does not instill much confidence in his leadership skills.

I'm disappointed Magellan. A Hoya-educated, tall, basketball playing entrepreneur who has a temper tantrum over Richard Cohen's temper tantrum. But, neither of you did your due diligence. I really don't like diving into the muddy, lower rung issues of "talking points", but neither you, nor Cohen debunked anything with your outbursts. Using the Confederate Flag issue as a launch to his tirade was trivial and disconnected. I can't believe that a leftist thug like Joy Behar actually gets paid for what she does. Both sides will do whatever it takes to win this election, which levels that playing field. For instance, referring to two of McCain ads: "The other asserted that Obama supported teaching sex education to kindergarteners...is a lie".

Direct quote: "Change change changechange hope, changechange hope change change." Obama is an empty Chicago suit, with empty political promises like we've heard the past 30 years plus- except this time, his religious views are determined by a man who says things like "God damn America", and he can't stick with one opinion to save his life. Vascillation over Iraq is a good example.

"...A beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany ... and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Obama." -Barack Hussein Obama

Hero in the World

In the past my heroes were Spider Man, Harry Potter and Super Man. But they not heroes. They are only 3D animation heroes and card board heroes. Some ones are think that characters of actors and actress are real heroes. But it is false, they acting from film directors on advices. Will Smith, Daniel Radcliff, Kirsten Dunst, Emma Watson, Angelina Jolly, and Toby Maguire, are only artistries and they are not super heroes.
I think super heroes are politicians. But nit Sri-Lanka politicians. Because our country has not clever and educated politicians.
The main character is minister of labor Dr.Mervin Silva. He is a foolish, crazy and uneducated person. Another person is leader of oppositions Mr.Ranil Wikramasinhe. He is and not cleaver political leader and he are not same to first prime minister of Sri-Lanka Mr.D.S.Senanayaka and past of other UNP (Mr.Ranils part) leaders. Sri-Lanka is a very beautiful and historical country. But it has uneducated politicians.
But Sri-Lankan politics has a huge difference more than American politics, and also America is a technologylized county in the world. And the other thing is United States of America is controlling by honest, very cleaver, educated, and real political leaders.
On the present Americans have a very hard job. Because they will appoint a new president in their country. The president candidates are part of Democrats, Mr.Barack Obama and Part of Republicans, Mr. John McCain. But I think next 44th US president must be the Mr.Barack Obama. Because he is peaceful man and cleaver speaker. On the present US president is Mr. George W. Bush is not a peaceful man and he is a strict political leader. Mr. Bush was in Part of Republicans like Mr. John McCain. So most Americans are like to will see Mr. Barack Obama will be the next president in USA.
I think Mr.Obama will be creating an evolution in the
USA. Like past presidents in United State of America 1st president in USA Mr. George Washington, 16th president Mr. Abraham Lincoln, 35th president Mr. John F. Kennedy and 40th president Mr. Ronald Reagan.
I wish to be true the dream of Obama and dream of Americans.

Original Comment (1/28/05): Whether you agree or disagree, Barack Obama is a fresh face inside a party which has become splintered from the infighting within it. Senator Obama may provide the leadership it needs at a time when the Democratic Party seems to be rudderless, and direct it to a unifying course of action. With great oratorical skills and a positive attitude to boot, this man is a force to be reckon with. Update: As bright as Obama is, Asian Americans are not impressed with any politician who panders to us when he/she pronounces himself/herself an "honorary AAPI." I may be speaking for myself, but being an AAPI means more than just going on stage and saying you are one of us (same with politicians of a different race proclaiming themselves honorary members of another). And it actually insults our intelligence when politicians deem themselves to be a member of a group merely to score political points with them. It doesn't make me more inclined to vote for any politician because he deems himself/herself one of us. In fact, it makes me inclined less to vote for a person (regardless of political party). I am also with HelloKittyHell as she brilliantly points out "...I'd rather vote for someone with some understanding of my perspective as an Asian American, than a hothead who openly refer to a group of people as 'the G-----.'"

I have read at least half of the comments on this rating and I am astounded by the ignorance. Some say that they like his stance on issues...what stance? Name one issue that he hasn't flip-flopped on since the beginning of the primaries. That is of course now that he is finally being questioned on where he stands on issues. Up until recently all Americans have heard are bumper sticker slogans. Others have commented on his "resume"...what??? A community organizer (whatever in the hell that is) and less then 6 months in Senate...wow...some resume. It's not Obama that scares me. It's his dumb ass supporters. The dumbest of all are the finger pointers yelling "RACISM" when white folks say they aren't going to vote for an inexperienced, poor speaking (without a teleprompter), "preaching" politician, with several questionable associations, who's wife has never been proud of her country, etc., etc. Not to mention that being accused as being a racist because we wouldn't vote for a black man is ridiculous. He is 10% black. Jeez!

Obama is the real deal, he may be part of the "minority", but why should that stop people from electing a person who wants good in the world, bit by bit, peice by peice. He doesn't beleive in solving things with the barrel of a gun. But if war is a must, even Obama said he would put to use the great u.s military and step up, at a time when it's needed. Plus, he actually helps out in times of turmoil, i even saw him digging with a shovel helping out after a natural disaster, all ego aside. He's a humble guy and he wants good for the people, vote Obama

If any democrat wins -we are looking at super high tax increases to pay for the programs the dems love to implement-not because its good for the people but because every dollar they tocuh of our tax dollars 70 percent or better goes to the lawyers and government lined pockets-IT DOESNT SAY ANYWHERE IN MY CONSTITUTION THE PROMISE OF THE REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH-THIS IS MODERN DAY ROBINHOOD--JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE DID WELL FOR THEMSELVES I DONT THINK THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD TAKE MONEY FROM THEM TO PAY FOR ME -EVEN THOUGH I WOULD BE A PRIME PERSON TO COLLECT UNDER ALL THESE PROGRAMS. we are not a socailist society--less government is always better for the people--example ----social secutrity is faling because the government runs it -if it were privatley run like galveston texas' they have a return 4 times higher than government run ss--and all this for 30 yrs (just in case someone tried to say its a fluke)
dems havent had a good idea as long as i can remember --there whole plan and premise is on bashing the current administration no matter what repub is in -ask what they would do if they had the power--they keep quiet and just bash some more --NO Ideas

the last dem to be president was bill clinton--a president who
1.dodged the draft
2. embezzeled money along with hillary godamn clinton
3.admitedly smoked pot
4.commited adultery
5. was only the second president to get IMPEACHED!!
6.and lied under oath about it (prejured himself)--could go on and on this is mor ethan enough--hes worse than the average thug--i think we can do better than this for the most powerful person on the planet(ie not her wife who also is a big fat liar)--example--landed under heavy fire and had to run for life -when clearly she was hugging children and many marines guarding her asss and big smile on her face --bold face lie

May have to vote for the first Democratic presidential candidate since 1968. I've never voted for a democrat for president in my entire life. This could be the year! Overall he is another political lightweight who is attractive, articulate, and has little to say other than the standard platitudes. That being said, considering John McCain as the other choice I might have to vote for Barack. He reminds me of another promising but flawed Democrat that I dearly loved, John F. Kennedy. If Barack ends up as our President it will be an interesting first term. If McCain is president, we will most likely have another four or eight years in Iraq.

He supports giving the Guantanamo Bay prisoners the same rights that we have. REALLY?  His friends are radicals. Or rather he makes radicals his friend. He doesn't put his hand over his heart for the National Anthem, yet suggested we change the National Anthem to "I'd like to buy the world a coke". Come on people are you all really that stupid? This oh-so-proud country, unfortunately filled with racist dillweeds, still don't deserve no friggin' bright and enlightened Obama or any other colored people, gay, female or qweer to govern them... After 8 years of Bush rule , 7 years at war! Even if we never had any proof of weapons of mass destruction...distraction...from our  highly paid UN inspectors...and then... Oh surprise! Here comes the looting of the US treasury, the hard work of generations... vanished...You'd think that the american people should know better by now...Maybe they just want to pay for four more wars or something... Gas already costs an arm and 2 legs...and the rest of the economy is crumbling and stuff?  Do you really think Mcplain can save you?...Duh!

Obama wants us out of Irak...That's what most voters want! It's about time we vote on it, con-servatives and dirty hairy liberals too, 'y'know!
Not enough people in the US seem to request what Canada and and the other european countries ask for... Peace, better gun control, cleaner air, universal healthcare,  some taxes but for the right reasons...If you don't get it by now...Vote Obama or your silly country will look even worse with another republican in charge...

Obama has no experience. I think that people are sooo set on getting a Democrat in office that it does not matter that neither of the candidates are worth a crap. We are all going to die if either gets elected. This country will fall directly on its face. Do any of you seriously think that they are going to do ANYTHING they try to say they are going to do? HAHAHAHAHA. Give me a break. That is a TOTAL joke and everyone knows it. I wish that people would look at what these people stand for (truely) not just what they are saying they stand for because all that is is them saying what they think everyone wants to hear. WHY IN THE HECK WOULD YOU WANT BILL CLINTON BACK IN THE WHITE HOUSE. He disgraced our entire country and disrespected the presidency and all of us that believed in him. Why should a woman that stood behind the man that did that be the person to LEAD this country. So they can make a mockery out of all of us again???? You may not like George Bush but there is one thing you have to say about him, He is a GOD fearing man and he does not SWAY from what he believes. He stands strong. People come on. get serious and get a clue. I know that Americans are not as stupid as we ae seeming right now. The other countries around the world are sitting back waiting for this election. When it is over USA will no longer be the most powerful country. Think about it guys. Socialized Healthcare???????????? PLEASE. Reearch what this has done to other countries. If you have money you will get good healthcare, if you don't then wait in line. REAL FAIR??? Look at what kind of experience Hilary and Obama have, This is not a game to get one party or the other elected. At this point and time people need to be smarter than that and look at the people themselves and not the party they are with. The crap that Hilary and Obama are putting out there for everyone to see only shows their desperation. This isn't about America or Americans any more for them its all about the victory. Then when one of them gets in the White House it will be all of us Americans who suffer!!!. I am not Republican nor Democrat. I believe in going with the best person fo the job. I am not sure we have anyone to choose from this time. SHAME on us for allowing this to happen.

As a conservative, I would not vote for him because he's as liberal as liberal can be.  As a personality, he does come across really well.  However, he is strongly supported by people like Louis Farrakhan, Bernadine Dohrn, and a very hateful racist minister.  What is he doing with friends like that and why do they desperately want him in the White House?  (another subject....I've been off RateitAll for awhile and the format has changed so much that I can't figure out anymore how to email other raters.  Can someone out there give me a hand?)

I am not one to dislike a Democrat for being a Democrat, but I just don't see eye to eye on Mr. Obama's ideology and policies.  I do indeed like his politics and the way he carries himself far more then I like Clinton.  He seems like a good leader, with the right personality to be president.  Whether I feel the USA is ready for a black president is not my issue with him, it is entriely based on his politics, and ideology.  If I were to see any Democrat get elected president I would like it to be Obama.  I feel like he has ran a firm, and fair campaign.  Obama will probably lose the presidental bid against McCain, and I will be happy to see that happen. I do indeed give Barack credit on a personal level, he is an excellent talker, and he was realy funny on Letterman the one time I saw him.  Maybe once he loses his campaign he can become an actor, and when that doesn't happen expect to see him running for president for years to come.

Clearly, these one and two star responses are from same people who have supported the last 7 years of direction in the USA, either by vote or spirit. Clinton voted for the war because it was poor political strategy at the time. She was not so stupid as to do it for any other reason, and that is why she has no integrity whatsoever.

People like to say he is inexperienced, maybe thats what we need, over time being a politician corrupts a man, we need someone who is fresh like Obama, someone who is closer to the american people. In my opinion being an experienced politician means being a conniving creep. For people who don't like him for his name should not vote.
