Garbage. If the humans fought the cylons for like 40 years, why were all their weapons for use against humans? They can fold space but they can't make a better gun than I can get around the corner? If, as the end suggests, we are the descendants of the colonists, how did the cylons know about Jimmy Hendrix? I could mention what appeared to be magic or divine intervention, but BSG isn't worth much more typing. I guess I just don't do enough drugs to fill in the plot holes or appreciate slutty, bitchy, ugly blondes like starbuck.

This is probably one of the better sci-fi series that I have seen. Much of the acting is superb, the story is compelling, and there was enough budget thrown at the production to make the special effects match the story. The story has just gotten even darker now that the thirteenth colony didn't pan out as expected. Not an uplifting show, btw.

One of the best shows on tv. It does require that the watcher be willing to think, not be passively entertained. That may keep the ratings down, which is a shame.

Not really into Sci-Fi all THAT much, but this is a good show. I discovered it when Lucy Lawless became a reoccurring character, and I was hooked ever since.

This show is by far the best Sci-fi I have seen. I was fan of Next Generation but Battle Star is far more mature and interesting. The character development is very good. The story lines are much better than most typical sci-fi plots. The filming is terrific and very realistic but the acting is what takes it to the top level. I was not as impressed when the series kicked off and thought it was going to be too much like the original which I always thought was too cheesy and predictable but as it has developed it is an excellent show.

The people at the Sci-Fi Channel are idiots for giving this show more seasons because moron viewers watched it. I hate all the cast members of this show! All the critics who think the current one is the best show in television are SOBs. No more seasons means no more seasons! Whoever at Sci-fi Channel gave it more seasons ought to be kicked out. All those stories and characters are crap, crap, CRAP!! Sci-fi Channel is a fixed laughing stock. Bonnie Hammer should be fired once and for all! Why not called it "Crapstar Galactica." Thanks a lot Sci-Fi Channel for ruining the legacy of Battlestar Galactica.

This may be the best drama of any type on TV. The plot is good, the acting is good, and the cinematography is great! This is really good TV. The old Battlestar was the worst SCI-FI series ever, very amateurish and now very dated. It never should have aired. Just as bad as Space 1999.

I almost missed out on this series because I assumed it would be the dorky rip-off of Star Wars that the 70s series was. My brother gave me the first season DVD set for Christmas, and I'm hooked. My wife finds it a bit too dark, but she can tolerate it because she loves Mary McDonnel. I've only seen the pilot movie and about 3 episodes, and they seem to be losing people quick. Loved the episode where the cylons were attacking every 33 minutes.

I've read that some people don't like the fact that some people really like the new Battlestar Galatica series. I think it is probably the best Sci-fi series ever made! The people that don't get it are the ones with attention deficit disorder. Sorry, you probably need to go watch Star Wars so the plot isn't to complicated. C'mon people, wake up! Here is a serious Sci-fi drama. You don't get much Sci-fi with this kind of quality. Enjoy it while you can!

Battlestar Galatica is a good show when you keep up with the story. If your appetite for scifi television is limited to only special effects and a conclusion in an hour, then you'll probably be disappointed. It's similiar to ER, where plot lines are revealed, but new plot lines are created and left for future episodes. It's intelligently written and has excellent special effects.

I happen to enjoy the remake that SciFi Channel has been brave enough to bring to prime-time TV. A very different feel to this one versus the original series, but still a worthy show.

I like the original better even with the poor special effects! The characters stink!
