I went to the PF Changs in the Prudential Center in Boston. I used the bathroom to wash my hands before the meal. I noticed one of the cooks leaving one of the stalls then exit the bathroom without washing his hands. This was disturbing. Regretfully I decided to stay and finish the dinner. It was all extremely over salted. After the meal I had an extremely painful stomach ache and had explosive diarrhea. I can't even imagine the invisible bacteria on the food if the COOKS don't wash their hands. Gross it's like crappy fast food except not as clean. I would never go back in a million years.

I LIKE THE ENTRANCE. THERE IS A LARGE HORSE MADE OF STONE ?THE WAIT IS OKAY.THE WAITRESS WAS LOUD ACT LIKE SHE WAS MAD OF SOMETHING.THE HOT SOUR SOUP WAS AWFUL. TOO THICK OR SOMETHING, TASTE LIKE MOTOROILTHE EGG DROP SOUP WAS NOT THE EGG DROP SOUP THAT MY KIDS ARE USE TO. ITS WAS NOT YELLOW LIKE IT SHOULD BE.I ORDERED, BUDDHA'S FEAST. IT WAS OVER SAUCED! THE BEANS WAS CRUNCHY BUT THE REST WAMEDIOCRE. THE WALMART MICROWAVEABLE CHINESE IS A NOTCH BETTER.I SAY OVERALL THE PLACE AT RALEIGH,NC IS A LITTLE NOTCH ABOVE FAYETTEVILLE'S "PANDA EXPRESS". IF YOU ASK ME... I WOULD RATHER TAKE MY FAMILY TO PANDA EXPRESS.IT'S CHEAPER AND TASTY ER....

Great restaurant, I have been there before. This time they have screwed it up badly. Good service though. It was my birth day, went down with my family, chose the same thing what I have eat the last couple of times at the same location. This time the soup was uneatable overcooked probably, I have got my beef away overcooked. It was like me and my buddyes going fissing and puting the stake on grill and go and fish for a couple of hours and tri to put some spicess to save the unsavable. Mr. cock, spicess will not make it up for the burn meat. If like that wasn't enough, I’m getting my desert which was just awful...banana spring rolls uncooked, which bye the way was thre mayn reason I was there in the first place. Probably they have changed the Cook, that is not a reason to pay the “price” twice. Once ruining my birth day dinner and paying for the messed up mill which I could not eat. I hope that you will have a better luck eating at PF Chang’s in Lexington, KY, on Nicholasville Rd.The only good thing it was that my baby and my wife eat the chicken and the steamed rice which was ok. The waitress was nice and got a great tip, it wasn't her mestake. However the restaurant lost my business for good.

I’ve lived in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and China and eaten Chinese from New York to San Francisco. I didn’t expect a visit to PF Changs to hold any surprises for me. The food was good, a 7 out of 10. Beyond that, it was the worst example of chain dining that I have experienced in quite a few years. We made our 6 PM reservations online. Since it was my birthday, we checked the box labeled "special occasion." When we got to the restaurant exactly on time they found no record of our reservation. The did, however, seat us immediately. The waitress arrived and asked if we had been to Changs before. When we said no, the explained things to us condescendingly as though we had never been to a restaurant before. We ordered drinks. I asked for a Guinness draft as it was printed in the menu. The waitress came back to tell me that Guinness was only in cans. I don’t drink from cans and I don’t order bottled beer in a restaurant. I can do that at home. I found an alternative that really was a draft. We ordered dumplings as an appetizer and spicy beans along with our entrées. She asked if we want the beans with the dumplings. We said we wanted them with the entrées. Before the dumplings arrived, another waiter arrived and started to put our entire meal on the table. We stopped him and sent it back repeating that we wanted our appetizer first. Our first waitress finally arrived with the dumplings. There were only four dumplings for the price that every other Chinese restaurant serves 6-8,Throughout the serving, our waitress referred to us as “you guys.” She persisted in this even after I pointed that my companion was clearly a woman. At times “thank you” would seemed appropriate she used “no problem.” These may be common in informal speech but they are very much out of place in a restaurant that clearly presents itself as upscale. At the end of the meal we asked our waitress what we got for checking “special occasion” in our online reservation she said curtly, “you said you didn’t want to order dessert.” She was absolutely right. She asked about dessert and we declined. What we didn’t and couldn’t know was that a complimentary dessert was what they offered for a birthday.Overall, I felt that Changs treatment of customers was mechanical and hurried. I would not eat there again and would absolutely not recommend it to my friends. The restaurant was at 3265 West market in Akron, Ohio 44333. Our server was Katie at table 31/1 at 6-7 PM, Sunday, September 6, 2009.

Would not want to return again because food is too overpriced. A tiny cup of Espresso was $2.25 and 6 medum sized crab wontons was close to $7 without tax. Really, I would get something better than these at a local oriental restaurant at a lower price, but the chain that covers close to 40 states would not be worth my money, even if I was in another state. The service was good, but I would have expected more oriental flavor inside the place- it looked too American. the food was OK, but not very filling if you take the starter courses. The bad really outweighs the service there, to sum things up. So even if I will have a first date there, my girlfriend would not be pleased going there either.

After PF Chang's recent opening in Dedham, my wife and I reserved a table for two 24 hours ahead of time, since it is usually totally booked.Upon arriving we were led to the table after a short wait time. The table was situated in middle of huge very noisy dining room next to a large family table with a screaming baby almost next to me. The parents took the baby out to calm down, but it was ill-advised to bring it at all.I though that PF Chang required guests to dress properly, so we dressed that way, but I noticed that many guests were very informally dressed, actually very disgusting for a restaurant in that price range, with T-shirts with and without sleeves, shorts, flip flops, cell phones etc.The waitress was very nice and helpful. The appetizer came quickly. My spring rolls were excellent , good size and well filled with a delicious honey/mustard sauce. My wife's lettuce wrap was a large quantitity and also fresh and delicious. The entrees took almost an hour to arrive, so way too late and the sides with it were all cold, so we refused those, but were too hungry to wait for further delays. The food was good and sufficient, no great quantity though and the sweet/sour chicken lacked a sauce. The waitress, who seemed to have felt bad about the delay, called the manager, who offered us a free dessert each. It took them a while to bring that dessert though, which does not make sense if you try to make up for slowness. The flavor of the dessert was not anything exciting, rather ordinary and mushy.I noticed that the servers were ill-trained, slow and not knowing how to handle themselves. They were also dressed very informally which was off compared with uniformed waitress. The bill did come quickly though, about $66 for two, before the tip. We gave the waitress a tip because she worked hard on resolving the problems.I can't recommend PF Chang's in Dedham though, due to its structural slow service, chaotic atmosphere, extreme noisiness and the too informal dressing of their customers, almost like going to a beach resort bar, not a decent restaurant. They need a stricter dress code and either retrain entirely or fire their staff. This is an established chain which has no business acting like a rookie mediocre restaurant.

When I went to P.F. Changs the waitors didn't say a word and everything was way too salty. They didn't introduce us to the sauces or anything. The food was horribly sodiumafied and horrible. And never in my life did I go there again. If I could rate it a 0 I would. Never go there.

Sorry but this place is definitely overrated. It is not worth an hour wait and I don't see what all the hype is about. The service was wonderful but the food was average. Will not go again.

Food is decent but so over priced. I would reccommmend Chinese Lantern in Hamilton Ohio. Small restaraunt same great food at realistic prices. If it wasnt for that weird smell from the bathroom it would be perfect.
abichara 07/02/2009
Standard focus-group generated selection of bland foods. PF Changs is a standard chain restaurant; the food is formulaic and has no real character. A Chinese version of Macaroni Grill basically. Soups taste like bland dishwasher, entrees aren't well seasoned, desserts aren't anything special. If there are no other options for Chinese where you're at, this might do. But if you live in an area with a significant Chinese population, Chang's might just leave much to be desired, especially when considering the competition.
mnkys123 07/02/2009
Commercial chinese food at it's worst. I did not like it here at all. It seems to be a good chinese restaurant for people who claim to like "ethnic" foods....but don't REALLY like it. Go to an authentic chinese restaurant and save yourself the trouble.

I'm Chinese, vegan, and I actually like P.F. Chang's. In fact, it's one of my current favorite restaurants. It certainly isn't real Chinese food, but it does have its own merits. The two P.F. Chang's I normally go to are Honolulu, HI (the one in Waikiki, and the one near the IBM building), and I've been to the one near Disneyland in CA. There is certainly quite a bit of variation of taste/quality between dishes - some are fantastic, while others make me say "I can't believe they are charging this much for this pile of garbage." You just have to know what to pick. Their portions somewhat small, especially for the side dishes in which you ordered a "large". I ordered a large (Green Tea Soba Noodles) but they brought out what I thought was a small. The manager said that it was a large serving, but they just put it on a small's plate, and charged me only the small's price. My favorites (all vegetarian) are the Chang's vegetarian lettuce wrap (this one never fails to please me), Green Tea soba noodles (the serving sizes are tiny, even for the large, but the flavoring is subtle - you have to eat it by itself, and wait for the delicate subtle flavors to hit you, and then it will make you say "oh"), and almost all the dishes in the vegetarian section (just make sure you order the stir fried version, rather than the bland horrible steamed version). The spicy green beans and spinach stir fry with garlic are acceptable too. There's the Great Wall of Chocolate dessert - it was quite impressive and a great sized portion. Unfortunately I couldn't eat it because I'm vegan, but I watched the 3 friends who were with me be challenged to finish it, and they loved it.Service varies between places, but I learned to go during off-peak hours to get the best service. Typically, there's no wait, and the food comes quite fast, and the servers/staff are excellent. Once in a while, the server mixes up a good tasting sauce too.

Number one: There were bugs everywhere. BUGS. BUGS! And the manager acted like these bugs were imaginary (yes, even after I killed one ON my chopsticks.). I went to the one at the westshore mall. NEVER GO THERE. EVER. I would have WALKED OUT, but I was at my sister's birthday party. (And she said that's her favorite resturant!)The manager didn't even offer to comp my meal- and the waiter was awful. My 3 year old could have done a better job with her people skills. THE PORTIONS WHERE AWFUL SMALL. I'm starving and I just left there. We paid $29 for two of us with lunch portions and water. LUNCH!NEVER EVER GO! BUYER BEWARE!

I've noticed a common trend among the bad ratings for P.F. Changs and they all seem to be not from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida! If you really dislike P.F. Changs after you have it at the Galleria mall or the Sawgrass Mall then there is something wrong with how you process food in your brain. No offense though. Down here it does live up to all its hype. I'm pregnant and i seem to always be craving P.F. Changs' orange peel chicken or the dali chicken, idk what it is but when i have it im in nirvana. And i have to have it! i love it!The service is fantastic! The restaurant decor is beautiful! The food delicious! The bill? I spent $55.00 for three people (Orange Peel Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and the Orange Peel Pork) with an appetizer (Peking Dumplings) and desert (the Great Wall of Chocolate)!

I was initially excited at the prospect of a new Chinese restaurant in our Asheville. My expectations are high since I have experienced "authentic" San Diego china town dining.Needless to say I was very disappointed. I like new things and will be the first to try something new. PF Changs is definitely different. Yes they have many of the old standards, however their interpretations were not even close. Granted the dumplings and sake were good, but the entrees were over spiced and strayed away from true Asian cuisine. Dining with another couple we all agreed it was not what we expected. The restaurant itself was noisy, crowded and not necessarily a fine dining atmosphere that we expected. I will say the service was good and we were treated as if we were experiencing fine dining. In conclusion the price we paid of $80.00 (2 people) was not worth it. We will better to spend our money at the Grove Park Inn where we will enjoy our dinner and enjoy a more pleasant atmosphere.

OKSo I have never been to this restaurant. I have read all these reviews. And judging by most, guess we will save our bucks. But wait! We have a gift card! What has me most disapointed is the fact that I called to make reservations for a group of 10. The very nice lady apologized and said that large groups are usually booked A YEAR in advance??? Is this true????? Is it REALLY that good!?!?Looks like we'll be going back to our old standby...the local and very fun hibachi grill.

I've been to P.F. Chang at Torrance, CA. The worst chinese food that I ever had. Everything I order tastes terrible, everything is overpriced, I paid $62 plus tip for my and my wife. Definitely Panda Express tastes better than P.F. Chang.

Very over-rated restaurants. Worst Chinese food I've ever been served. Large price, very small portions. Chef's must more concerned with appearance than taste.
Sheetghost 08/10/2008
I have a close relative who enjoys the noodles at PF's, so I end up there a lot more than I would like. Every time, I try something new, desperate for any sort of properly cooked dish. Last time it was the pineapple short ribs, which came later than everyone else's food and was drenched in some noxious sauce. I even tried scraping off most of the goo on one piece of meat and eating it- on a related note their bathrooms are actually very nice. The takeout place I go to with the peeling wallpaper and tacky painting of an eagle beats the snot out of this. Advice: Get out. Get out now. If you are in or near a mall, head to the food court and order something from the Chinese food place there; you'll save your time, money, and will to live.
eatwell 08/02/2008
The worst excuse for Chinese food that I have ever tasted. If you like bland pseudo-ethnic food that would make a school cafeteria seem like fine cuisine, then this is the restaurant for you. If you like Chinese food, that tastes authentic, then keep on going until you find another place, preferably in Chinatown.
eighteyes 07/06/2008
BridgePort Location, Good service, food was WAY over salted and required extensive post-meal hydration, leading to a slight headache in the aftermath. The little sauce thing was done without our knowledge, and I would have much rather prepared my own sauce. Tea was good, but way pricy for a chinese resturaunt, where i've gotten free tea plenty of times. I wouldn't ever go back. Indeed, I've sworn off all chain restaurants from this experience + others. I left feeling ripped off, not satiated.

We visited P.F. Chang's at Roseville, we we're so disappointed since even we specifically instructed the waitress that my daughter is allergic to peanuts. But to our surprise, when we opened our food at home, we saw a peanut on our food. The following day, my daughter received an allergic reaction to which we can only blame the food at P.F Chang. The staff is not concerned with their customers and what if the allergic reaction was more severe than a swollen face? Even though we were disappointed of our service, the food was amazing and I particularly enjoyed the sauce they provided.
CanadaSucks 06/24/2008
There is nothing more trendy in my circle of friends and self-important friends to bash P.F. Chang's. And they roll their eyes at me when I call them snobs. Defending this restraunt (for me) has given me the scarlet letter. Oh well- it's decent faux-Chinese fare. . .good sized portions. . .solid chain-dining experience.

Orlando, Florida, Mall Of the Millenia location. Totally hated the food.Service was very good and the people were extra friendly, but... We went to eat and left hungry.......The fried peking dumplings were the worst I had ever eaten, the sauce was almost tasteless, none of the ginger in it that I like so much. My sweet & sour pork was neither, in fact was the blandest I had ever had. Nearly no sauce at all, what was there was BLAND. The rice was sticky and cool. My wife had the Crunchy honey chicken and it was also very bland, had no hint of honey that I could discern. Her appetizer was a spring roll and the veggies in it seemed raw, the outside, though crunchy was unremarkable. ANY take out joint in a 50 mile radius can easily out do this place on a bad day. Go get take out and save money. The inside was nice and there was many people there, but the food was dismal. When the waitress noticed we werent eating, they offered replacement and offered to comp, we declined , paid our bill, left a tip and went to the food court and there was a decent take out style place there. We ordered the same food we had previously and enjoyed it from the food court. Thats just sad............

FREEHOLD LOCATION We went for My daughters 18th birthday.we were a party of 8 adults when I called, as it turned out another family member was able to came and made it 9 so we had to sqeeze in at the table. The waiter was very nice. WE were told its served family style .The part they don't tell you are the serviing size are small ,Served in a Shallow plate , we were all still hungrey and orderd another plate and then that was not enough another and more rice. If you have a group double the amout of plates you order. If you have 5 order 10 plates ,Just Note* The cost is to high for the amount of food you get. The food was tasty and maybe nice for My Husband and self for a night out but for a large group go to a regular chiness resterant ,There is no guessing everything is served with the meal not an add on Like there hot tea was ,oh cause its some flavor tea DAHHa.. MY Brother said there Matto should be COME HUNGRY LEAVE HUNGRY,.We went for Icecream else were after...

Location: Louisville, KY I have been wanting to go to PF Chang's ever since it opened. Everyone was saying hoe GREAT it was. And the building looked very upscale which usually means good food... Very, very dissapointed. Overpriced, crappy chinese food. My first hint should have been the cooks visible through a window looking into the kitchen. All white guys! And I am white myself, but I really dont think they know how to prepare chinese food. I got the Moo Goo Gai Pan. My favorite dish. And the ~$7 for the lunch plate I expected something woderfull. What I got was bland chicken and some veggies in a very bland chicken flavoered sauce. And the were using cheap-o button mushrooms... at least use something like shiitake with some flavor! Also the white rice was horrid, dry and gummy. My sister-in-law got the salmon. Looked great, but was soo overcooked and dry it tased like one of those slamon steaks you but in the foil packets next to the canned tuna in the grociery. It was sent back. All that said the pepper-steak lunch was decent, but not at over $8! If you want a fancy 'Looking' overpriced restaurant the PF's is for you. If you want decent chinese go to the local double dragon.

After trying to get in twice with no luck, we were finally informed that you need to make reservations 1 week in advance. We did so and were not disappointed. It is not traditional Chinese food, but we had a very knowledgeable server who explained everything to us. The Chicken Lettuce wrap appetizer was delicious. The Mongolian Beef was wonderful as was Chang's spicy chicken. The wonton soup is served family style. Not the same as in your regular chinese establishment, but still good. We ordered 4 entrees for 5 people, soup and the appetizer and it was plenty! The mini dessert tray was wonderful as well. Our table sampled the strawberry cheesecake, tiramisu and banana-split. Very tasty and just enough of a sweet ending as they come in a double-sized shot glass. A little pricey but we would all definitely eat here again and certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to try non-traditional fare.

Went to the new one in Freehold, NJ - must be the worst food ever. Granted I know it is not real chinese, but they should make something that taste good. We had one dish that was so salty that we drank so much water. will never go there again. Crap! Crap! The P.F. stands for Poor Food

If you like 2 or 3 hour lunches, you'll love the recently opened PF Chang's in Corte Madera,CA. My friend and I got seated right away and gave drink orders. We got drinks in a timely manner and then placed lunch order. ( 2 appetizers and 2 entrees) We received appetizers after about 25 min. After an additional 1 hour , and begging for refills on our drinks to anyone who worked there, I grabbed the waitress and said that we no longer had time to wait for our lunches! She asked if we would like the food to go...this place is a waste of time! She apologized profusely and said that the appetizers were on them. At least the other reviewers got their food. I left hungry and I will never go back.

Excellent all around! Our server was friendly, attentive, knew the menu and wine list like he was the chef himself. The food was outstanding. We were a party of 8 and everyone's food was delish. Especially the lettuce wraps and won ton soup.

PF Chang's is not intended to be real Chinese food. It's American Chinese food. Therefore, people who don't have diverse tastes will appreciate this restaurant. Just don't call it Chinese food.
sneha 12/17/2007
We were party of 6 and none of us liked our dish.2 noodle dishes we ordered were drenched in oil. spicy chicken was so sweet and had no spice in it.fried rice was so sticky and poorly made. (whatelse to expect when they screw up fried rie in chinese bistro).coconut curry vegetables was one among these awful entres we ordered.I am not going back again. Its very surprising how this place is so famous.

Wow what an insult to chinese food...I just visited the newly opened P.F. Chang's at Corte Madera CA. Do these chefs know how to cook chinese food?...The environment looks fantastic, but the food is such a disappointment. I ordered the " Dan Dan noodles," which seemed interesting and tasteful. It turned out to be too spicy and simply lack any kind of professionalism I would expect from a restaurant with such presentation. Just by the taste and observation, it really seems that the chef has never tried any Chinese food him/herself before. My server asked if she could make the sauce for dipping and adding in my dishes. So I said mild, then she proceeds to put a bit of everything into one cup and mixing it. Who does that? You don't just put every type of condiment in small amounts and call it mild?!! Which brings me back to the ingredients chosen by the chef, it literally taste like he/she just added a bit of everything and called it done...<---There was no understanding of flavors..

Yesterday I took my date to P.F. Changs that located in the beautiful Civic Arts Plaza in Thousand Oaks, California. We were waiting for about an hour or so for the order to arrive. We ordered different plats. The food was extremely salty and dry (due to the high concentration sodium. Even both me and my date like salty food, that food was as nearly salty as eating pue salt. I told the manager about it and she replaced one of the plat with another one that was just as salty as the original plat.

THE WORST! At a mall in Monterey, Ca., Oct 07. After being seated, the server didn't show up. About ten minutes later a hostess came by, noticed that nothing was happening, apologized and said someone would be right there. Not. After another while, a manager came by, noticed that nothing was happening, apologized and said a server would be right there. Another five minutes or so and a waitress showed up. We ordered some 'potstickers' and steamed dumplings. They were served lukewarm. The skins were tough and the ingredients had no flavor. The knives and forks were wrapped in napkins. All were water-spotted and looked unclean. The tiny dark brown plastic 'chopsticks' would have had better use as knitting needles. Some people ordered tea. The server brought a tiny metal teapot (which held about a thimble full of water) and, instead of teacups, brought large coffee mugs, explaining that they were out of teacups at that time. Our group ordered several main dishes, chicken, vegetarian, seafood, lamb, etc., with white and brown rice. The waitress brought a stack of empty plates for the main course. Well, they weren't actually all that empty, since some had leftover pieces of food on them from previous diners. So the waitress took them all back and returned in a short time with a stack of dishes. This second stack didn't look all that clean either, sort of covered with a thin greasy film, (as if someone had wiped the first stack with a less-than-clean cloth) but at least there were no visible chunks of food. After awhile one of the main courses arrived, but no rice. After several more minutes the waitress came by and asked if we had received the other five or six courses. We said no. She went away, and awhile later the other courses arrived, with brown rice, but no white rice. We asked about the white rice. The waitress said there would be no white rice because there was some problem with it in the kitchen. No white rice in a Chinese restaurant?! Even though the main dishes were supposed to be different (i.e. some hot & spicy, some sweet & sour, some meat, some fish, etc.) they were all lukewarm and all tasted pretty much the same, which is to say that they had no flavor at all. The lamb was tough and had pieces of gristle. P.F. Chang's is a Chinese restaurant in name only. The food is so tasteless that I hesitate to even call it 'Americanized' Chinese. During the two or so hours of this dining ordeal there were probably a couple of hundred people in the place, but we saw no asians, either working there, or perhaps more significantly, eating there, which itself probably says something about the food. Pluses? The decor was nice and it appears that noone in our little group got food poisoning from the unclean utensils/dinnerware. Summary: Bad food, bad service, unclean dinnerware.

Best dining experience ever. Got appetizers and food very quickly compared to most restaurants, but even so, our waiter apologized that my orange chicken should have taken under 10 minutes and didn't charge us for it and the manager gave us a free appetizer card as well. Even though we didn't even mind in the least and had no complaints at all to begin with! Best service I've ever had by far.
dmartmar 09/08/2007
Best place to work at, bar none. Management is great, down to the lower echelons of the ladder, including food preparers and kitchen staff. We ALL WORK HARD and strive for providing YOU, our GUEST, with the best service AND Chinese food you've ever had in your life! If the server asks if "everything is ok" one too many times, it has nothing to to do with the quality of the food, but an offering of some of the best, if not the best service you've ever had at any restaurant, Chinese or not! Btw, the servers and everyone else working there are all there just trying to make a living, while strictly "following rules," so to speak, which means it is not their fault when they do things a certain way.
Then again, always remember that NO ONE can EVER PLEASE everyone! One "bad server" DOES NOT reflect upon the overall goal of the whole staff WORKING THERE FOR YOU, our GUEST! Not every server is good and not every server is bad.
Being a part of the back wait staff, I should know.

pfchang first timer here. last timer, too. waitress was annoying kept popping in and out silently asking if everything was ok. why, should it NOT be okay? doesnt sell confidence in the food. restaurant too dark. couldnot see what i was eating. specifically told waitress nothing spicy. she made that trio crap for no reason. was told the ahi tuna was good. waayyyy too spicy. told the waitress and the mgr came over to apologize and suggested the pin noodle dish. apparently did not speak with the waitress or listen to me when i said i did not expect the heavy pepper flavor, because this giant bowl of soup was way overspiced. pointless. and the 'noodles' turned out to be bean sprouts. ridiculous. and $2.50 for a glass of iced tea? are you freakin' kidding? the wild salmon was nice. but a bill of $82.00 for three people for chinese food? never again. never ever ever again.
Robert57 06/02/2007
The decor and ambiance is five star. The food started off five star until top management made them Americanize it by adding salt and sugar to everything. Bean counters lowered the quality further by making them cut corners in the kitchen and raise prices. The result is the best you can expect from a corporation: a compromise between real quality and corporate mediocrity. Your visit may be a Dining Experience for you, but you're just a +1 on some bean counter's Excel spreadsheet. You are +1 of millions. If you dine elsewhere, your decision is not a -1, it's a zero. You don't register/count in their decision process. P.F. Chang is a prime candidate for acquisition. The most likely buyers are Benihana and Brinker International Inc. (Big Bowl). If the buyer is Benihana, expect to see knife-wielding chefs tableside.

i agree, the lettuce wraps are out of this world, and if you like fish... the entree of HOT FISH is equally as good. quite frankly, the number of times i've been to one i've never had anything not good!

Best chinese food I have ever had! Not one of those independantly owned buffets with all the frozen stuff. Atmosphere is great. I have been to both Indianapolis Keystone at the Crossing, and Indianapolis Downtown locations. Definetely try it out if you like good chinese!

Watch out if you have gluten allergies. P.F. Chang's in Palo Alto claims they specialize in gluten free menu as well. Watch out Watch out Watch out for the ignorant cooks, waiter(s) and the management's attitude -- will definetely cause you to visit the emergency room. Never trust what they bring to the table...

The lighting and the decorations were nice. The waiters were annoying, talking too much, asking too many questions and would not leave us alone. The plates were not clean, there were pieces of dried food stuck to it and couple of pieces of old rice stuck on the bottom, manager came and took off the wanton soup off the bill. Just to let you know this is not authentic chinese crusine, food tasted like a frozen dinner with little chinese ingredients. It's too fatty and salty but I guess most westerners grew up eating McDonalds and hotdogs so this is what they are use to. What makes a great asian dish is the rice, I know this because I am asian, and grew up in an asian home. The rice at PF Chang tasted like uncle bens rice or minute rice, it was dry, cold, clumpy, hard and tasted like it was sitting there for few hours. I asked for a new fresher bowl of rice, few mins later the manager showed up again asking what the problem was, except this time he as little rude and sounded annoyed. Ingredients in PF Chang does not come close to the real thing, go to a chinatown in a city nearby if you want real chinese food.

We have eaten at other PF Changs and enjoyed the food and service. Last night in Austin, Texas, however, will be our last visit. The service was rushed, The waiter took away our appetizer plate while we were half finished with the appetizers, saying he needed us to change to large plates to get ready for entrees. We had only had appetizers for a few minutes. They left the appetizers -- just took away the plates we were eating them on. Waiters took away plates the moment you looked up from your food, as if they were out of plates in the kitchen. We are fast eaters, and don't linger, but felt very rushed. Three of the four main courses were gummy meat -- one beef, one chicken, and one scallop dish, in gummy, WAY too sweet sauces. It was as if you mixed Lavoris with an amazing amount of sugar. It tasted like something from a food vendor at a carnival. No texture, no interesting taste, no ginger in the ginger chicken, no orange peel in the orange peel beef, and the poorest, too sweet, gummy sauces you can imagine. I could do much better with something from a jar. We can get better food at half the cost at any Chinese restaurant in town. VERY disappointing. It was the subject of discussion for an hour after dinner. Entrees with out a hint of vegetable? Not even a garnish? I am not a cook, but I could come up with a better looking, better tasting, more interesting dish on the spur of the moment in anyone's kitchen. You have the young, impressionable crowd convinced, and I can see a high-school kid taking a date there, but anyone else should be able to do better. Food arrived quickly, and the appetizers were good. Three or four years ago, we raved about PF Changs to friends, but last night we felt very cheated by the whole experience. If you are still reading at this point, thanks for listening.

Chow fun too salty. Dumplings blah taste and expensive. You are better off buying from little corner stores in Chinatown. Food tastes like it is soaked in soy-sauce and salt, or soy-sauce and sugar. The lettuce wrap dish is good, as well as the egg roll. Service is attentive and courteus.
