Used to eat there when the kids were little. That is the only place they wanted to eat. Great marketing job McD's. Once in a while they would come out with a burger I could eat, then discontinue it within a year. The Playplace really sealed the deal with kids. IMO McD's needs to find some food that grown-ups would like. Their fries used to be the best of the big chains and I've heard they aren't any longer. Once in a while I will have a breakfast sandwich or a Filet O'Fish there. Whatever you think of their menu and food quality you are rarely surprised by anything at McD's. They are always the same for better or worse. Three stars for the food, five for marketing and the Playplace. If I had any kids with me we would most likely be at McD's all the time.

Fairly cheap and close to my home, so it's convenient when I'm hungry (all the time, and no, I am not obese). I suggest the Crispy Chicken snack wrap, the Caesar Salad, and the Big N' Tasty.

I feel like hell after eating McDonalds food, and I personally don't care for the taste that much. I have no incentive to spend 5 bucks for a meal for these reasons. Taco Bell on the other hand is much better. Cheaper, healthier and tasty.

McDonald's gets a lot of grief for how bad it is for you. It's easy to attack the market leader though, isn't it? News flash: it's FAST FOOD people! It's purpose is convenience and taste, not nutrition! You should only eat there occasionally, not for every meal!

Southern Style Chicken Sandwich - A southern style chicken breast, on a steamed bun, dressed with butter and two pickles. Very similar to a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwhich. Official Taste Test, McDonalds, Southern Style Chicken Sandwich - This is the official review of a sandwich recently introduced onto the McDonald's Menu. It is crap, I was concerned to start with, bread, pickles, chicken, & butter. Angela at the 2410 CUMING ST OMAHA, NE 68131-1630 location said the sandwich came with everything(being Mayo, Tomato, and other such items.) Well let me confirm that it is as pictured. It also is not seasoned throughout just in the breading. I will tell you a mom/dad/anybody who cooks from the South will confirm that this is a misrepresentation of there region. I give the Sandwich a .75 out of 4 forks. (.50 for being chicken, .25 for the nice bread). The fries were also too small, and the service was pretty slow.

I suppose it is the gold standard of the standard burger joints, if that is a real standard.
sarah1725 04/14/2008
I try not to eat too much junk food, but when I do go to McDonalds, if the fries look old, I ask them for unsalted fries so they have to make me new ones. I also always ask for my burger to come without pickels, that way I know it's made right then and there. It still kinda tastes bad but what can you expect for $3?
gemnii52271 04/14/2008
It's hard to give them less than the median. They are pretty consistant, and huge. Their fries, however, have changed. They loose their luster faster than they used to. The food is what you would expect. They don't seem to get mad when you ask for special stuff. They are a little better than 70% getting the order right. So, all things considered 3 stars.
eagleamn 04/10/2008
If you like having illegals make your food with bare hands after scratching their butts in the toilet, or much worse, go there. Go to Wendy's instead, where the restaurant seems to be in a civilization that heard of cooking tools and gloves.
headon 03/04/2008
ain't nuthin like a big mac and a large fry from mcdooooonalds
VoX007 02/24/2008
When Mac and Dick McDonald first opened their fast good joint, there was a little of what you could call love in the business. It sured as shit ain't there now. Hell, your lucky if the mexican taking your order can even speak english. And then you can stand and watch them make your entire burger with their bare hands.
Mr.Tuner 02/24/2008
thier fries are the best! i wouldnt eat there every day but i love the stuff.
trebon1038 02/17/2008
I know McDonalds seems to be everyones' least favorite but they have the fries! Also when traveling and I don't want to take the time to stop and eat, I can eat a quarter pounder while driving...without wearing too much of it.
SanDiegoFunkDa ddy 12/23/2007
this food is toxic waste! the food is so overprocessed they have to add beef and potato flavorings back to make it taste real again!
cyqing 11/10/2007

dothanbama 10/21/2007
Garbage.. food All reheated junk filled with who knows what. But hey, if your constipated, this is the place to unclog your butt (well that and Taco Bell). They can rebuild their locations all they want, but the food is still trash.
OUfan4Life 10/10/2007
I have never understood the attraction to this chain. I have always found their burgers to be lacking in the taste department and everything they have is processed, meaning they use many additives that aren't good for you. No wonder so many people who eat there are overweight.
unclewalty 09/06/2007
Once the leader in the fast food industry it is now dead last. Not only is the food quality the poorest in the industry but their customer service is the worst of any chain restaurants.
spim3292 08/05/2007
Other than the sos & egg muffins i find the rest of the food pretty awful. I notice that you need the gallon of coke to wash the taste out of your mouth. I wish they would stop wasting their energy on so called healthy food and justt make nice burgers - no one minds a bit of fatty food occasionally, it just needs to taste nice and be real. I do love the muffins though...
irishgit 07/24/2007
I laughed out loud at Virile Vagabond's comment that all things must pass, including food from MacDonald's. In my experience, which is very very seldom these days, MacDonald's food can pass through you pretty damn quickly. Highly amused by the periodic comments on here suggesting this aorta clogging, colon plugging garbage is good for you. Stick another Big Mac down your necks, folks, you'll get more benefit out of it than a brisk walk. Right......
XAgent 07/24/2007
Small burgers, okay fries and most everything else kind of makes my stomach do funny things.
Loerke 07/24/2007
Probably the most globally visible sign of American culture. As every viewer of Pulp Fiction knows, a McDonald's franchise in France still sells "Le Big Mac." Yet a Frenchwoman once told me that the French think "fast food" is a misnomer, so they instead call it something that translates roughly into "industrial food."In doing a websearch, I'm not convinced that she was right, but her point is still valid: the food products sold at McDonald's aren't really cooked quickly at all, but prepared in a factory that's probably miles away from the restaurant. The whole process takes days, maybe weeks. So the truth would be better served if we could only get a movement going to refer to McDonald's gooey pounds of processed flesh as "industrial food."Maybe "industrial waste" would be even more accurate?
Skinnydude 06/22/2007
This mighty franchise has survived and lead the fast food charge in many ways. I will say they try to keep em clean. They have many value menu items. Kids like the play areas and toys in meals and are brainwash early on to trick you to there.ITs average food at a good price. And with so many outlets on the road one will find himself in one. I prefer the breakfast menu and that alone makes this place a solid 3.

McDonald's does not float my boat.
