Nope. I always play Ladysmith Black Mambazo at full volume and nobody else likes the group.

Would do this if in the city, but everyone around here is going in different directions all the time.

My room mate and I tried just going in to work together to save gas, considering that we work at the same place. But we found out within a couple of weeks that we couldn't come close to keeping the same schedule. It may work if you have a traditional 9-5 job, but I don't have one of those.

I recently started doing this again after recent spikes in gas prices. Aside from making it easier on my wallet, a 45 minute drive I often need to do is now less boring for me. If you and a nearby friend need to get to the same destination at the same time, why wouldn't you offer to carpool? Even among today's fast-paced lifestyles, it can make a lot of sense to be neighborly.

I remember as a youngster we frequently carpooled with neighbors. Definitely environmentally friendly, and economical, too.

You never know, you might end up getting put in a car with some hottie from the office if you carpool!

When feasible, this would be a good option. It would greatly improve air quality and save consumers oodles of money on gasoline.

Saves money and resources and may even foster new friendships.

Kind of. My husband usually drops me off and picks me up from work on his way to and from work. None of our co-workers really live on the way to work, though (we jump right on the highway from where we're at). But, I do use the bus when he can't pick me up/drop me off.

I work at home. But I do minimize trips into town and try to do that no more than twice a week.
