Better drinks than food

Rude employees, even RUDER manager, food TOTALLY screwed up. Will never go back. I was at the Asheville, NC Sonic on Patton Ave...Manager Antonio Thomas BANNED me bc I brought back food that was cold and prepared 100% wrong. Told me I wasted the food...no ya'll screwed up my order! I paid over $15 for my food, I at LEAST want it warm people!!! I was told also if I didn't like the way my food was made, to just go somewhere else (Assistant Manager in training Chris said that one...)I will NEVER go back again and I will tell all I know not go to there either. To think...I could gone 2 minutes down the road and gotten the same food for cheaper. Live and learn!!

This sonic actually deserves half a star. Do Not go to the Sonic@UH on Calhoun,that is of course you like bad customer service. The cashier almost jumped down my throat because of a card malfunction. I reported her to the manager, and he tried to make it seem like it was MY fault. Thats the quickest way to SWEAR NOT TO RETURN TO YOUR BUSINESS. The only positive thing about them is the food. The FOOD ALONE gets 5stars.

I don't want to give this sonic any stars but it looks like I have to give them aleast one. NEVER NEVER NEVER go to the Sonic on BRIARCREST in BRYAN, TX!!! This one makes all Sonics look horrible! The service first of all is horrible! I don't know who's fault that is...the manager or the carhops. I always see people arguing back and forth and NOT making or serving anything. You will wait at least 10 minutes before you order, even if you are the only one there. Sometimes, other people that pull up after you will order before you will. Second, the food is horrible! Buns are served hard as a rock, ice cream is served like water, and they are constantly out of certain drinks. If you ask for no mayo, you get mayo. Same with onions, tomatoes, and pickles. I've tried to give this place a second chance, but enough is enough. I will never go there again!

NO STARS!!!! I have always just loved Sonic; as I drove cross country to visit....But the new one in Silvis, Illiois is a JOKE! Please rehire some responsible workers! Have been there twice; orders all messed up both times! ordered 2 number ones first time; they brought out 2 number 2s! How simple can that be? then the other night we went; ordered 2 chili cheese conies; they brought out 2 COLD hot dogs with disgusting melted cheese(very little) NO chili; so we told them; they brought us out 2 more in 12 minutes...they were COLD! we will not visit there again; the one in Davenport Ia is fine; we will go there....VERY dissatisfied!

There are no Sonics where I live, so I rarely get to eat there. Every time I visit the lower 48 I'm sure to try it. My review probably won't be the best compared to people who have experienced eating at Sonic more often, but I'm basing this on my own experiences.
The one I go to is usually the one in Spokane, WA. Every time I've gone it's been a pretty enjoyable experience. I like the unique atmosphere of old fashioned drive-in dining better than the drive-thru experiences that I get from other fast food restraunts. They're pretty quick about getting our orders down and bringing them to us. The food is pretty good, especially their drinks and desserts. My mozzarella sticks are usually hot and not soggy. Over all it's an enjoyable experience.

Lately, Sonic was hyped up in many commercials on Television, so my family decided to try a Sonic out in New Jersey. Sadly, it was not good at all. The ordering process was frustrating because of employees. They were not very attentive towards our order even though we did state it in a very organized and reasonable manner. It got annoying. In addition, when the food came we did not get ALL OF OUR FOOD. This was quite frustrating because the lady that delivered our food rolled off really fast after giving us the food before we could even check. Since it was outdoor seating, we could not find her and ended up wasting 30 bucks on just two burgers and four sodas when we ordered four burgers, four fries, and four sodas. It was a very miserable experience and next time we are going to hit up a burger king instead. You get better quality and quantity at much of the other fast food restaurants. I never had a problem with any of the other restaurants like I did with Sonic.

I just purchased a popcorn chicken salad from Sonic for my lunch. All it was was a bowl of lettuce with some cherry tomatoes and cheese. I was thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the salad. I get much better quality and quantity purchasing at Wendy's.

I just had my first Sonic Burger. I was really looking forward to it. It has been open for several weeks now and they still have 8 police officers directing traffic - so Ifigure they must be really good. NOT This was the lamest burger I have ever had!. The cheapest burger at McDonalds is better!!! They suck.

Bam your fed. I Think they got something right. they have a sprite slushy that is to die for it is the best. If you get a good cook he or she can give you whatever you want. It is a great rest. Especially if you and your buddies all have different wants. I go when I can find one.

We were really looking forward to trying the new (and only) Sonic in MN. The lines were very long the first few weeks so we stayed away. Just this week we thought we'd give it a try....BIG MISTAKE. We were sent to a parking lot across the street to wait for an open carhop spot. We waited 15 minutes or so and then were signaled that there was a spot for us. Imagine our surprise when we pull into the lot and there are 4 spots vacant right near the entrance. We ordered our food ( the employee was NOT helpful). We wait and then it gets dumped of at the car window by some kid who says NOTHING!!! The order was wrong the onion rings were AWEFUL. We were very disappointed. What topped the cake if you will... when we went to leave the ENTIRE other side of the building had EVERY carhop spot available. Why would I ever wait to be treated so poorly and be "served" inferior food. WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN!

you know...I used to love sonics but after my last visit I would be hard pressed to try it again!

On 7/20/08 at 8:30 in the evening we had a real problem at the Sonic in Maricopa AZ has rude employees, the manager will not come out to talk to the guests, then when asked for his name, one of the employees yanks off his name tag so hew cannot be identified. We found "foreign" objects in our burger and questioned the tall young black man about it, and he refused to give us his name! He said it was no sweat, and wouldn't hurt him if we reported it to their corporate office! DO NOT EAT THERE!!! What ever it was in the burgers looked like flem some one had coughed up!!!!!  WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over the years the quality of both food and service has went down hill, about the only thing i do like anymore is the drinks and milkshakes. I also wanted to point out that I had TWO daughters that went to work at Sonic, the managers are piss poor kids that are into the drama scene....and this was at 3 different locations...different people, at first we thought it was the childish behavior of one place so transfered to a different one with promises of a different atmosphere, wrong...one day...drama queens/ 2 managers, neither over the age of 20 years old, talking on cell phones to boyfriends and standing outside flirting with guys. Whatever! Okay...the final draw was when my daughter came home balling because the manager took all of her tips and refused to give them back when asked. Needless to say I was on the phone with this chic telling it like it is, my daughter never went back, we returned all shirts/hats the following day, after spending a boo-koo on black pants and shoes for this job....here is the run down on daughter number one....was getting hounded on the FIRST day about having black pants, took her that night for shoes and pants, managers counted on other kids to train her, handed her a change machine and told her to do car-hop, not making sure she could properly count back change...anything, she would be on schedule for 4 hours, manager would tell her to go home after 1-2 hours because business was slow (this happened daily, and we drove her to and from)....switched locations due to all this and drama....manager took tips, refused to pay her for hours worked, never gave her the last check even though everything was returned. SECOND daughter started Sonic, manager told her at 6pm on a Friday to be there at 10am the following morning, she got there...manager "Oh, you are an hour early, I changed it last night" you won't get paid for this hour, my daughter then proceeded to walk out the door and sit with a drink to wait until it was her time, manager said "no, you have to work now, I'll make up the hour later", NO-ONE to help her, people screaming at her to get them this and that, bitching at her for not having black pants on the FIRST day (when the manager was wearing gray jeans and white tennis shoes) a car hop and the boy on drive-thru was trying to help her while the manager just neglected the fact that she needed help.
Second day, she had her black pants, they started in on her shoes this time...screaming at her to do this and that, the manager is standing there joking about someone being pregnant and gossiping while my daughter is doing her best to make drinks and get orders out the door....keep in mind she has never been taught how to actually make all these flavored drinks. She finally got fed up, and walked out. She wants me to let her handle this but I am stepping up this time.
Where in the heck are the adults here? Where are the REAL managers who are over the age of 20 years old that can actually focus on a job? My girls worked at Burger King and loved it, there were adults running the show and they didn't put up with any crap.
Sonic? Gone to crap........
Wanna know why you can't get the proper change? Wanna know why your drinks are being screwed up? Because they throw these kids into it with NO training, she doesn't even know who to contact, there is NO orientation process...it's not professional at all, as a job should be. What happened to giving until the first pay check to get the pants and shoes they need? What happened to....if a manager can get someone to train a new employee they do it themselves for a few days, what happened to a professional work experiance? It might be a kiddie car-hop but it's still a business! My advice......get managers that actually know how to handle BUSINESS...not some kid that's stuck with Sonic for a year!

who the hell hasn't had sonic?? it's like one of the most popular restaurant fast-food chains in America. there's 6, i believe, in jackson, tn. and even 1 in the smallest town of all time, which is where i reside. i work there, and the only thing i have to say is that it just truely depends on the sonic you go to. some are sanitary, others aren't. i've worked at two, and one was just gross. i wouldn't even eat from there. and the other, which is where i currently work at for about 5 months is great. customer service and food is perfect.

I really like their burgers, especially the SW burger they have once a year. I also like the corn dogs. The Tots are much better than the fries. Strawberry Limeade is great. Some locations are much better than others. Here in Springfield MO, Commercial Street location is really good. West Sunshine is terrible. (old oil = lousy tasting fried food), and how did they manage to ruin a perfectly good drink?

I like Sonic for the drive-in experience more than the food.

Not a big fan. I know they have all the fancy drinks but they need them...the food is not that great even in fast food standards.

Way over hyped. You should have seen the lines when the new Sonic opened up around here. I've never seen that many people waiting for fast food.

The food is Great!! The service is usually quick and courteous too. The one drawback here is, they are notorious for messing up the order. Don't know why it's so hard. But, they have a greater than 50% chance of messing up your order.

Their chili dogs and jalepeno poppers are the best.

If you do not go to the Sonic in Dallas on Lake June in Pleasant Grove, you can get some decent food. This Sonic is the worst! They are nasty, their attitudes are nasty. The establishment is unkept, they don't clean the machine that makes the shakes. Twice we have found fruit in our chocolate shakes!!! yuk!

Service and food depends on the person serving you. Sonic in Gladewater, TX has nasty/rude employees! I will never return to that restuarant.

The girlfriend and I went to Sonic in Columbia, MO. Parking was quite a challenge due to a semi-large pile of snow and ice blocking the entrance. The menus had a lovely neon backlit glow to them and offered traditional American dishes at reasonable prices. For an added holiday bonus, they offered a traditional sonic "blast" infused with holiday flavors that make it a perfect addition to an already sterling dessert lineup. In conclusion, Sonic offers a well rounded and versatile menu with something to offer anyone looking for some twists on the conventional burger and fries joint.

Ill stick to the drink menu.  The burgers are low quality meat thus why they put so much other junk on the burgers to cover up the thin patties.  Onion Rings are hit and miss at each location, same with the tots. 

Again, one of the few burgers cooked and not nuked. Almost up there with Whataburger.

I love Sonic, and never had unsatisfactory serivce or food so far. What I love most is the beverages and how you can customize them to your creative liking. I suggest trying a Watermelon Sprite, and a chocolate Dr. Pepper.
