Thank you Rusty for being the "Ugly American". You can be proud of your own country and still appreciate others - c'mon, Dude! I really enjoyed Austria, the scenery speaks for itself and I found the people to be pretty friendly overall.

A charming country

austrians are among the biggest a**holes in the world. they even manage to go beyond the level of americans in this respect.

A beautiful country but many of the people were among the rudest and curt we've met especially in Vienna and Graz.

Is Rusty on day release from a care in the community scheme? Clearly he's never even visited Austria. Unlike the US and UK, it's not crime ridden,full of neanderthal yobs and dirty. Prices are not that high either. The scenery and the towns are generally stunning and beautifully clean. The skiing's excellent and the people generally friendly.

Austria is a beautifully scenic country. Vienna is outstanding, and small-town Austria is wonderful. Good food, mostly friendly people (although in true Teutonic fashion they can be pretty unreasonable at times, and let's not forget that they out-Nazied the Germans), great hotels and gasthauses. Driving can be a challenge on some of the mountain roads. Definitely a place to visit at least once.

What planet is Rusty on? Austria will thrill you a thousand times over and the scenery is simply idyllic. A magnificent country -if only all places could be as clean and pretty as this one.

Classy country! The Austrians are really friendly and could win prize for best talkers in europe(and thats a good thing!).

One of the most beautiful places in the world. America only wishes it had a city as beautiful and charming as Vienna.

Expensive, overpriced, and home of Kurt Waldheim, the former Nazi. They don't even speak ENGLISH when they should, since it is the international language of business (and simply because English is superior to other languages). AMERICA, BAY-BEE!
