Verizon has become so greedy that they deliberately disable the internal GPS chip on the 6800 so that you have to subscribe to their $10/mo GPS service. What else have they disabled?

Rogerd's Notebook 2

I am very interested in a new phone. But like the gentleman said I am not able or willing to wait. Which puts me in a bind because I am really settling for something else, something I really do not want. I need the ability to read email send email with the use of a full keyboard and the at a glance large screen. The ability to open attachments and view them fully. Well nothing I can do about it though I just can't wait forever. Thanks Verizon wireless.

Rogerd's Notebook 4

I have the XV6600 and have replaced it three times because I crack the screen. I have always loved how the keyboard slide out from the bottom and the extra large screen, even though I break it. My bosses all got the XV6700 and with in the first couple week they were frustrated with and actually returned to their old flip phones. Again my heart soars when I look at the new XV6800. The large screen and I like the orientation, how it stands tall. Getting use to the keyboard open on the side will take some getting use to but would be worth jumping from the XV6600 to the XV6800.

I have had the xv6700 for a little over a year now, and have been a Verizon customer since 2001. True, the phones they offer a little behind with the bells and whistlles at times, but in terms of practiacality and service, I wouldn't trade them. I used to be with AT&T and I gave them every chance in the world to keep me as a customer, but they just didn't get it. My xv6700 has yet to fail me, well, excluding the built in wi-fi issue, but that was no secret. If nothing else, the iphone runs on a dated network with sub-par service. I have no problem waiting for a world class ppc, which I expect the xv6800 to be. Great comments throughout.
