Television is amazing. There are televisions in most homes in the country. Television is an amazing invention that has transformed the way our society enjoys itself.

Television's main purpose nowadays is to be the place shows go to before being putting up online and being watched by the majority of people. It's great/awful as a time waster (depending on how you look at it) and the screen is usually bigger than your laptop's making it easier to watch with friends. It's also difficult sometimes to find a show to watch amongst all the channels because of all the other junk programs being thrown at you.

Television has been there for me when a lot of self-righteous "kill your TV" people haven't. A lot easier to watch with a Tivo, which is basically a computer that watches television for you.

I am not really an avid TV watcher. I watch the news to keep up with current events, and I do enjoy the classics once in awhile, but TV as a rule is a big waste of time.
