This film just made it to DVD. A great story about a working class girl who wants to better herself through education (played by British actress Julie Waters). She is mentored by a jaded professor (played by Michael Caine who demanded Julie Waters because of her performance in the play of the same name on stage - the producers wanted Dolly Parton) who thinks she's better off without academia. The interplay between them is priceless. A romance with a reasonable level of intellectual content.
