 | scarletfeather (50) 07/08/2008 | I would do it if I had a professional tethered to me, like George Bush did when he skydived on his 80th birthday.

 | lmorovan (15) 07/08/2008 | If others can do it, I can do it. Intimidating at first, yes. But then, what an experience.

 | irishgit (146) 07/08/2008 | Although I never served in the military, several members of both sides of my family did, a number of them in airborne units. Every one of them, regardless of which unit they served in, talked about their first jump out of a plane, being terrified (despite the training) and being helped out of the door with a sergeant's boot.
That's enough information for me to cross this item off my list.

 | cyclee (18) 07/08/2008 | Being extremely scared of height, I don't see this happening in my next 8 lives.

 | XAgent (28) 05/10/2008 | This was on my list of thing not to do, which included roller coasters and bungee jumping. Since them I learned I enjoy roller coasters and look forward to possibly doing the other two.

 | numbah16tdhaha (154) 05/08/2008 | I can't justify jumping out of a perfectly good airplane...

 | Molfan (59) 03/05/2007 | a 2.5. probably not. maybe when I was younger i would have thought maybe. more daring then. and before i had children. I actually went to school with a gal who tried to sky dive right after high school. she had friends and relatives there to watch her first sky dive. the chute never opened. it was real sad. she was a nice gal. that always has stuck in my mind when I hear of skydiving. so unless i was on a plane and there was an emergency which is unlikely, I would not attempt skydiving.

 | Randyman (105) 02/23/2007 | There was a time I might have considered this, but not anymore. I would more than likely be dead of a heart attack before I hit the ground.

 | LastMessenger3 (40) 08/04/2006 | I'm afraid of the heights, but if it was life/death situation, I would probably surprise myself.

 | traderboy (25) 03/19/2006 | I'm slightly acrophobic, so I'd have to figure out a way of overcoming the start-up phase of this activity (like curling up in a ball in the back of the plane with the side doors closed). If I could then find my sky legs and manage to stand up, maybe I could look straight ahead, count "three", and step out into the wild blue yonder. Opening my eyes to see the ground rushing up at me would probably cause me to blow groceries (which would only be helpful if it plastered my goggles and kept me from viewing any more of the trip down). I've heard the landing is oftentimes the trickiest part of the journey (they instruct you beforehand on how to touch down, but I know I'd end up shattering my pelvis or dropping left-leg into a running chipper-shredder). IF everything were to go off with a minimum of fuss (chute deployment, no broken bones, etc.), I'd go back up and try to get more of the enjoyment out of it that many people speak very highly of.

 | trebon1038 (64) 02/18/2006 | Nope....not afraid of heights but I am afraid of falling and if I remember correctly, skydiving requires falling! Can't make myself leave a perfectly good airplane!

 | 93century (38) 02/10/2006 | If i would, i would have to be sure the pilot knows where a safe place is to drop. I dont wanna end up in powerlines, on top of a house, or in the water.
