08/21/2008 | I celebrated my birthday with a very nice gift of Blanton's single barrell Bourbon a few days ago, and a fine gift it was. I had been looking forward to buying a bottle to try but my daughter beat me to the punch and a happy man I am. An incredibly smooth bourbon with a smooth aroma of honey and grain and flavor to match. I love good bourbon neat, but I did force myself to try it on the rocks as well. Straight up, On the Rocks, or just a splash of water, the wonderful quality of this bourbon shines through. Absolutely outstanding and worth a try for anyone who appreciates fine whiskey.
