Mediocre describes the Reds to a T. Some strong sticks, but no pitching.

I can see Cincy getting in as a wild-card. If they continue to play well (currently 7-3) the owner will pull the trigger on some more pitching.

Way too much focus on power. They need to create a more balanced team. Bronson Arroyo was not good enough. They need a legitimate ace. Arroyo is only good to win 12-15 games. The bullpen stinks and basically this team needs to hope they can out homer the other team.

Some good hitters on the club, but very little pitching, plus they play in a park now that heavily favors the hitter. They don't gell all that well as a team, they don't have a lot of good prospects in their system, and should fall anywhere from 4th to last in their relatively strong division.

Could be a dark horse.Offense is strong and are developing a clue.

The Reds have some decent talent, but their is just too much competition in the 6 team NL Central. With Griffey, Kearns, and Dunn they are likely to hit homeruns, but where will the pitching come from. Trading for Bronson Arroyo is a start, but he isn't going to be a 20 game winner anytime soon.
