I know, I know--the smart set didn't like this flick about two old reprobate brothers, one of them Duvall and the other Michael Caine, who take a young grand nephew under their eccentric wings.   However, I know you will like it, since the members of the RIA are commonsense, down-to-earth folk.  

The brothers have a colorful past and are quite rich, and this is all part of the story. They buy a lion from a zoo to shoot, but it is so old and broken down that they can't do it.  The nephew takes it over and it becomes his pet, the old second hand lion.

Not a brilliant movie, but a smiler with some nice acting from two veteran giants.
